    • PURPOSE:To high efficiently perform electro-chemical electric discharge machining, by duplicating an electric discharge machining pulse-state power source to an electro-chemical machining power source. CONSTITUTION:An electro-chemical machining power source 12 and electric discharge machining power source 13 are applied between an electrode 1 and work 2 to simultaneously perform both electro-chemical machining and electric discharge machining while flowing electrolytic machining fluid 3. The electro- chemical machining power source 12 generates a flat output waveform, while the electric discharge machining power source 13 generates an output waveform having pulse width from about 0.1mus to several ms. As a result from these duplication, actually applied output between the electrode 1 and the work 2 is a constant voltage electro-chemical machining power source as viewed from electro- chemical machining, and a large current increases a machining amount as compared with a single-phase full-wave power source, while high voltage is applied as viewed from electric discharge machining, and an electric discharge is easily caused, further an arc discharge is cut off because of a pulse-state discharge waveform, thus a continuous arc discharge phenomenon can be avoided.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent short circuit with the article to be worked during working process and improve the working efficiency by installing a noninducting guide means in the top edge outer diameter part, in the hollow pipe electrode for working a deep hole by means of the electrochemical effect such as electric discharge, electrolysis etc. CONSTITUTION:The pads 2 as guide means are installed in the top edge outer diameter part of a hollow pipe electrode 1. The pads 2 are arranged, for example at four places at equal intervals on the circumference, and each pad 2 forms an arcuate form, and the thickness t is set nearly equal to the electrolytic gap for discharging the electrolytic liquid and worked sludge from a worked article. As the pads 2 are interposed between the inner diameter of a hole and the top edge outer diameter part of the hollow pipe electrode 1 during boring work, the pads 2 guide the electrode 1 along the inner diameter of the hole, and vibration at the top edge can be suppressed, and at the same time, the top edge part contacts with the inner wall of the hole of the worked article, and generation of short circuit failure is prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a numerical control processing device from operating erroneously by comparing a command signal with a displacement signal memorized by a memory device. CONSTITUTION:By conducting a simulative cutting operation in accordance with a command information from a tape reader 24, an entry command signal 80, an address signal 79 and an output pulse from a position detector 33X are entered in a memory device 57. On the occasion of conducting an actual cutting operation, the entry command signal 80 is set to OFF and a read command signal 81 is set to ON, and the output pulses entered at the time of the simulative processing operation are read out in order with progress of the actual cutting operation. A signal 76 from the memory device 57 is compared with an output from a pulse distributor 27 by a comparator 74. An output difference signal is zero as long as these two signals are according with each other, but if they do not accord with each other, a difference signal 77 is put out from the comparator 74, and a stop command signal is given from a stop command signal preparation circuit 63 to a positioning control section 26 so that an entire operation is temporarily stopped.
