    • PURPOSE:To enable increase of rigidity without enlarging the section of a conductor, by providing an inside coil and an outside coil which are disposed in proximity to each other in the radial direction. CONSTITUTION:When electricity is made to flow through a feeding part 7A and a discharging part 7B of a poloidal field coil 1, the outer peripheral side of an inside coil 1A turns to be of high temperature and the inner peripheral side thereof to be of low temperature by a cooling operation of a cooling duct 4A provided on the outer peripheral side thereof, while the inner peripheral side of an outside coil 1B turns to be of high temperature and the outer peripheral side thereof to be of low temperature by the cooling operation of a cooling duct 4B provided on the outer peripheral side thereof. As the result, a difference in thermal elongation in the circumferential and radial directions occurs in the coils 1A and 1B. Even when the coils 1A and 1B expand by heat, the outer periphery of the coil 1A and the inner periphery of the coil 1B are not separated from each other. At the same time, a tensile force is given to a bind wire 5 by the thermal elongation in the radial direction of each coil, the two coils are made to approach each other as a counterforce thereof, a compressive force is applied to a packing 2 and thus strong integration is attained. In this case, the rigidity is larger than that in the case when the coils 1A and 1B are disposed separately.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: when no measure against vibration is taken in a cooling pipe connecting a winding coil and a liquid inlet header and a liquid outlet header; and when the cooling pipe resonates and vibrates with large amplitude, high stress is produced in not only the cooling pipe but also the headers and winding coil to which the cooling pipe is attached and the lives of these points are shortened.
      SOLUTION: In a power generator stator, a cooling pipe for guiding cooling liquid to a winding coil includes a flexible line or a flexible line 10b having a curvature and its end portions have higher rigidity than the flexible line. The natural frequency of the cooling pipe is set to a value higher than an electromagnetic exciting frequency by increasing the rigidity of the end portions of the cooling pipe. This makes it possible to prevent the cooling pipe from resonating and high stress from being produced in the cooling pipe or its attachment portions.
