The output signal of a reference level gauge 19 is outputted to a monitor device 12 and the valves 6 and 9 are closed on the basis of the indicated value when the specific level is reaches, thereby setting the liquid level of sodium. The output of the level gauge 13 to be calibrated is sent to the monitor device 15 through a processing circuit 14 and compared with the output signal of the level gauge 10 to perform calibration.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To capture, with high sensitivity, whether a leakage sound is generated or not inside a monitoring region and to discriminate, with a small malfunction, whether a generation sound source exists or not. SOLUTION: The sound-source intensity of signals from a plurality of acoustic sensors 11 which are installed around an SG(steam generator) container shell 7 is computed by a high-speed signal processor 300, and effective-value data on a process signal and on an acoustic signal are computed by a low-speed A/DC (A/D converter.. In a sound detection device 400, the generation of a leakage sound or the like inside the monitoring region of the SG container shell 7 is detected and the position of the leakage sound is located on the basis of the sound-source intensity from the high-speed signal processor 300 and on the basis of the effective-value data on the process signal and on the acoustic signal from the low-speed A/DC. However, when the existence of the generation of the leakage sound or the like is monitored on the basis of the mean value of a sound-source intensity distribution from the high-speed signal processor 300, a sound source can be discriminated precisely even when the peak of the sound-intensity distribution is not clear. The sensitivity of an apparatus is increased, and the reliability of the operation or the like of a plant is enhanced.
