    • PURPOSE:To provide a man conveyor device equipped with a footboard engager 9 that is able to perform such an engagement as getting the extent of dynamic load reduced at the time of contact between a sprocket and a rack chain. CONSTITUTION:In a man conveyor system being provided with plural pieces of circulatively moving footboards 2 and 3, and a footboard engager 9 being set up in each vestibule part at both sides and selectively capable of moving up and down and simultaneously engaging with a wheelchair mounting footboard 3 at the time of upward movements in this engager 9, this footboard engager 9 consists of a vertically shiftable base part 11 and a rack chain 14 whose both ends are clamped to the base part 11 in tenseness via two springs 21 and 22, its intermediate part canes into contact with an upper flat part 13 of the base part 11 and set up in an almost trapezoidal head part form. At the time of selectively upward movements of the footbord engager 9, a sprocket 25 at a lower part of the wheelchair mounting footobard 3 is engaged with the rack chain 14, and with this engagement, the footboard 3 is shifted in the height direction and it is kept and set to a wheelchair mountable state, or this maintenance setting is released free otherwise.
