    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the increase of the number of channels and to provide a reception coil for vertical magnetic field type MRI usable in a wide area. SOLUTION: A reception coil unit 500 includes a bed coil unit 600 for matching the longitudinal direction with the body axial direction of an inspection object 103 and an upper coil unit 700 detachably attached to the bed coil unit 600. The bed coil unit 600 is provided with a plurality of lower sub coils disposed at the lower part of a mounting surface 601, and the upper coil unit 700 is provided with a plurality of upper sub coils connected with the lower sub coils. The upper sub coil is divided into a flexible inner side support 20-1 covering the mounting surface 601 and a flexible outer side support 20-2 covering the outer side of the inner side support 20-1 and disposed.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an examination equipment using nuclear magnetic resonance where image is improved. SOLUTION: After exciting nuclear magnetization in a prescribed area by successively applying a high-frequency magnetic field and tilted magnetic fields in first, second and third directions orthogonal to each other to an examination object or applying the high-frequency magnetic field and the tilted magnetic fields in the second or third direction to the examination object, the tilted magnetic field in the second or third direction having a tilted magnetic field waveform WS set in advance is applied and a magnetic resonance signal generated from the examination object is detected. A tilted magnetic field waveform WR actually applied to a prescribed area by the tilted magnetic field in the second or third direction having the tilted magnetic field waveform WS is led out by arithmetic processing from a nuclear magnetic resonance signal detected in advance to obtain the output gain of a driving power source for the tilted magnetic field in the second or third direction which minimizes a difference ΔW between the tilted magnetic field waveform WS and the tilted magnetic field waveform WR. Then the led-out output gain is set to the driving power source. Consequently, waveform distortion in the tilted magnetic field is detected and removed and the quality of an MRI image is improved.

An inner coil unit 502 and an upper coil unit 503, or a second coil layer, and has a sensitivity distribution in the HF direction so that, when performing a parallel imaging executed by setting a phase encoding direction to the RL direction or the HF direction, this constitution can attain the high speed imaging by operating a corresponding coil layer on condition that the first coil layer and the second coil layer are formed and operated together. An external coil unit 504, or a third coil layer, has a sensitivity distribution in the AP direction.     • PURPOSE:To provide an inspection apparatus wherein magnetic resonance in which vortex electric current generated with change of inclined magnetic field is decreased with time is used. CONSTITUTION:A bobbin of a main inclined magnetic field coil 21 and a bobbin of a correction inclined magnetic field coil 23 fixed on a magnet 11 for generating static magnetic field are completely separated each other and the main inclined magnetic field coil 21 is movable in the direction (z) of the static magnetic field. The strength of the inclined magnetic field per unit electric current generated at the center by each of both inclined magnetic fields 21 and 23 differs largely from each other and, as the result, the inclined magnetic field substantially generated as a difference of both cases and the electric current-magnetic field inversion efficiency becomes high. As only the main inclined magnetic field coil 21 is moved, the supporting structure can be made to be light-weight. As the amt. of correction for the vortex electric current, as it is proportional to the strength and the ratio of change with time of the magnetic field generated by the main inclined magnetic field 21, the centers of both inclined magnetic fields can be made to coincide with each other and the effect of the correction can be made smooth in the inspecting space. As the result, high image quality is obtd. in ultrahigh speed photographing.
