摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the soundness of a nuclear reactor containment by installing a catalytic hydrogen removing device inside the nuclear reactor containment and removing hydrogen gas effectively so as to prevent hydrogen explosion. SOLUTION: In a nuclear reactor containment 1 housing a nuclear reactor pressure vessel 2 and a containment spray header 5 in the inside, a plurality of catalytic hydrogen removing devices 11 are arranged close to a wall on the nuclear reactor pressure vessel 2 side and a wall on the nuclear reactor containment 1 outside wall side in the inside of the nuclear reactor housing vessel 1. The plurality of catalytic hydrogen removing devices 11 are arranged uniformly in the horizontal direction and in the circumference direction of the side walls in areas A, A' in each of which upward flow is formed.

This routine is judged every day in the whole period of a periodic inspection.
