    • PURPOSE:To provide a small, lightweight and easily-detachable ultrasonic flaw- detector for detecting a flaw in a straight pipe, an elbow welded part, etc., by a method wherein a probe movement part installed at a circumferential ring is provided with a first ultrasonic probe and a probe holding arm installed at the probe movement part is provided with a second ultrasonic probe. CONSTITUTION:A circumferential ring 24 is supported by rollers 25, 26 for circumferential ring support, and it is driven by pinions 27, 28 for circumferential ring drive. A probe movement part 31 is attached to an arm 6 installed at the ring 24. An air cylinder 32, a probe mounting part 33, an ultrasonic probe 7, a probe mounting part 34, an air cylinder 35, a probe support arm 36 and an ultrasonic probe 37 are attached to the movement part 31. The probes 7, 37 are held by the arm 36 in the length direction of a pipe with reference to one probe movement part 31. As a result, the arm 6 becomes short by the protruding-length portion of the arm 36, and a curved part such as an elbow or the like in the pipe does not constitute an obstacle. In addition, a load which is applied to the circumferential ring is reduced. and also a driving gear can be miniaturized.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a probe ideal for the flaw detection of a rugged object to be inspected such as welding beads, by making the surface abutting on a tubular object to be inspected into a shape of a concave column with the circumference-wise end thereof bevelled at a specified angle. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a wedge 2 is worked to match the shape of an object 9 to be detected so that the center of the curvature radius 13 will fall on the axis of an ultrasonic beam 10 with the angle of refraction of 0 deg.. The angle between the front and the contact surface of a wedge shall be such to overcome a projection or the lice easily and has a correction face 14. The angle between the rear surface and the contact surface 16 thereof also has a correction face 15. It should be noted that the face 15 shall be as deep as possible and the face 16 as small as possible. The probe thus obtained is appli cable for the direction method as well as the gap method. It is also applicable for the single detection as well as the double-split type and further for the type with a shoe and the wedge type. This facilitates the circumferential ultra sonic flaw detection about a weld part of a piping joint.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection device and an inspection method for a diffuser of a jet pump, capable of moving and installing accurately a sensor of an inspection device body, wherein inspection position accuracy is excellent and an inspection work is simple.
      SOLUTION: In this inspection device for the diffuser, the inspection device body 2 is inserted into the diffuser from which an inlet mixer is dismounted, and inspection is performed from the inner surface by the sensor of the inspection device body 2, and the inspection device body 2 is arranged movably in a protection cylinder 1 inserted inside from an upper opening of the diffuser. A positioning member 5 on which a recessed groove 6 is formed used as a position regulation means is provided on the upper end of the protection cylinder 1, and the recessed groove 6 is engaged with a projection part on the upper end of the diffuser. The inspection device body 2 is constituted of an axial-direction moving means 10 for adjusting a height-direction position of the sensor 43, a circumferential-direction driving means 20 for adjusting circumferential-direction movement of the sensor, a clamp 30 of the position regulation means for pressing the inspection device body onto the diffuser inner surface, and a sensor means 40 for inspecting an inspection object portion.

    • PURPOSE:To dispense with a long mast for effectively miniaturizing, and to greatly facilitate assembling and fitting work by stably securing the distance between the detector and an object to be examined by means of a scanner part, and by supporting the scanner with chains. CONSTITUTION:In the inside of an inspection device body 1, a scanner to be used for maintaining rigidity in the circumferential direction of a vessel, and drums 11 for winding up hoisting chains 5 in the perpendicular direction to the scanner are provided, so that the scanner 4 can be lifted or lowered by turning the drums. By controlling the rotation of the drums, a prescribed height can be obtained. The scanner 4 is mounted with a ultrasonic probe 12, and this is moved laterally by means of a driving mechanism 14. By turning a propeller, a thrust is obtained, and by means of spacers 13 the distance between the probe and an object to be examined is maintained so as to be constant. In the case of ultrasonic examination, to carry out angle beam testing in which ultrasonic waves are obliquely incident on the object to be examined, the distance between the probe and the object to be examined must be kept constant.
