摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce a disposition space, etc., by housing a booster pump, filter for filtering and desalting and cooler within the same vessel to form a portable cleaning and cooling unit of a small capacity and collecting a number of these units. CONSTITUTION:The cooling unit 4 is constituted by housing the circulation pump 1, the filter 2 and the cooler 3 within the same vessel. This unit 4 is installed to the position higher than the water surface of a used fuel pool 5 and the pool water is cleaned and cooled by the closed cycle to life the pool water by the pump 1, to filter and desalt the pool water by the filter 2 and to return the water to the pool 5 after cooling the water by the cooler 3. Since the used fuel is little in the initial period of starting the operation of a plant, two units in total of these units are installed with one unit as a standby u nit to execute the cleaning and cooling. The units are added in conformity with the plant operation. The unnecessary cleaning and cooling capacity right after the start of the plant operation is thereby decreased and the floor area and cost are reduced.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make it possible to continue the operation of a power plant even in case of an emergency when one of seawater heat exchangers in the same system is being repaired isolatedly. CONSTITUTION:In an auxiliary machine cooling device to cool a heat exchanger 6 for cooling a containment and a heat exchanger 5 for cooling an emergency auxiliary machine in case of an emergency, a stop valve 11 and a bypass pipe 12 are installed in cooling water pipes for the heat exchanger 6 for cooling the containment and the bypass pipe 12 is equipped with a bypass stop valve 13 and a flow rate limiting orifice 14 respectively. If both heat exchangers 1 are available in the same system, cooling water is flowed at a rated flow rate through the heat exchanger 6 for cooling the containment by locking up the bypass stop valve 13. In order to stop one seawater heat exchanger 1, on the other hand, the stop valve 11 is locked up and the bypass stop valve 13 is opened to flow cooling water through the bypass pipe 12, which decreases the flow rate of cooling water to the heat exchanger 6 for cooling the containment.

摘要： PURPOSE:To conduct a purification of a spent fuel pool under a normal operating condition by a filtration system, to decrease substantially a generating amount of radioactive wastes and to intend to extend a life of de-ionization by placing separately a filtration system which can be washed and cleaned, and a filter-demineralizer in parallel. CONSTITUTION:This system has a constitution in which pool water of a spent fuel pool 4 is introduced into a skimmer-surge tank 5, is taken out from a bottom of the tank, is pushed out by a pump 1 to be purified by a filter 2 or a filter-demineralizer 2 and then returns to the spent fuel pool 4 after being cooled down by a heat exchanger 3. In this constitution, the filter and the filter- demineralizer are arranged in parallel and only a filtration of the pool water is conducted by pumping the water solely to the filter 2 during a normal operating condition to remove solid impurity in the pool water. With this procedure, only the impurity sticking to the filter can be disposed of and a generating amount of radioactive wastes can be substantially decreased.

The coarsely ground pyrolysis reside (i) is cooled by the cooling device 1. The pyrolysis reside (d) cooled by the cooling device 1 is pulverized by a pulverizer 2. When the particle size of the residue to be cooled is kept within a prescribed range, the cooling device is set with the time required for cooling the ground matter having that particle size and the cooling efficiency is improved and the cooling time can be kept in a very short time and also the cooling device is miniaturized. And, unexpected reignition, etc., of the pyrolysis reside after cooling is avoided by cooling surely.
