摘要： PURPOSE:To decrease the necessary bands of heads and tapes necessary for recording digital codes by dividing the codes of coded color television signals by n (n is a positive integer) and recording and reproducing the signals by n-sets of rotary heads which are different in azimuth angle. CONSTITUTION:The codes of the coded television signals are divided and the divided codes (bits) are allotted to n-sets of the rotary heads which are different in the azimuth angle, by which the signals are recorded and reproduced. The upper 4 bits and lower 4 bits are recorded by another heads in the case of, for example, coding one picture element (one sample value) of the television signals with 8-bits. The required bands of the heads and tapes necessary for recording the digital codes are decreased by half.

Namely, the size of a signal amplitude is converted into the digital value by an A/D converter 15. The data of a latch 16 are compared with the data of a latch 18 by a comparator 17, and when the data of the latch 16 are larger, the value comes to be the new data of the latch 17. Only the maximum value and the recording electric current value at that time are stored and therefore, the scale of the circuit can be miniaturized extremely.

Further, while the amplification degree of the recording amplifier (REC) 6 is changed, the recording electric current value is changed, by a maximum value detecting device 13, the point is detected in which the reproducing output comes to be maximum, the amplification degree of the recording amplifier (REC) 6 is fixed and the optimization of the recording electric current is completed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To detect a synchronizing pattern at the operation speed lower than the code speed by dividing a reception code series into n-set of code series to decrease the operation speed into 1/n and modifying the original synchronising pattern into any of n-kind depending of the divided phase. CONSTITUTION:A reception code series and its clock are given to input terminals 1, 2. The clock is converted into a 1/4 frequency by a counter 3. And a 4-bit serial/parallel converter 4 outputs the code series 1 to 1-D at every 4-bit at the same time. Delay elements 5-7 use the output clock of the counter 3 to retard the outputs B-D of the serial/parallel converter 4 by a time corresponding to one clock. Synchronizing pattern detection circuits 8-11 deciding whether or not the phase of ai-di (i=1-4) exists are provided to the input. Since the synchronizing pattern is detected without fail by the detection circuit, an OR circuit 12 obtains the OR of outputs of the detection circuits 8-11, then a synchronizing signal is obtained at an output terminal 13. Thus, the synchronizing pattern included in the reception code series is detected at the operation speed lower then the code speed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent mis-detection of a synchronizing code by recording a television signal subject to digital coding so as to arrange a synchronizing code block in adjacent tracks with an equal azimuth angle so as to forecast the detection time of the next synchronizing code. CONSTITUTION:An error correction (or detection) code P is added to a picture data D obtained from a television signal in a digital VTR. Further, the signals D, P are collected, an address A of a synchronizing code S is added and the result is used as one synchronizing block. The synchronizing code S has a pattern detected by a reproducing code and the location of the address A in the code, the data D and the section of the correction code P are confirmed by using the pattern. In this invention, the synchronizing blocks 2 are arranged between adjacent tracks on a tape 1. When the synchronizing code blocks are arranged between the adjacent tracks, the tape speed differs at the recording and reproduction and even when the head reproduces a signal while bridging over plural tracks at the reproduction, the reproduced synchronizing codes form a prescribed interval. AS a result, the detection of the synchronizing code is operated effectively.

摘要： PURPOSE:To eliminate setting errors due to the instability of the butting of a magnetic tape with a head and to set a highly reliable optimum recording current by keeping a magnetic tape in a still state so as to set the recording current. CONSTITUTION:With the magnetic tape in a still state, the magnetic tape 9 is rotated, and a switch 3 is switched to the side of a fixed pattern generator 4. Through the use of a pulse train at a maximum bit rate frequency with a 50% duty ratio, a switch 8 is set to a setting side. At the time of setting an optimum recording current, the switch 8 is forcibly synchronized with the cylinder rotation of a VTR, and recording and reproducing are switched for each rotation of the cylinder. The control pulse signal C1 of the generator 19 changes the amplitude of the recording current at every two scans in synchronization with the rotation. A reproducing side detects 11 at every recording current value so as to transmit to a latch circuit 16, and compares 17 it. If said amplitude is larger, the recording current becomes the new data of a latch circuit 18. Accordingly the recording current is changed, whereby the maximum value of a reproduction signal turns out to be the data of the circuit 18.

摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce the scale of a time base correcting circuit by making this circuit use a processor in common which rearranges data to eliminate the variance of the time base. CONSTITUTION:A time base correcting circuit 1 delivers the SYNC pulse through a SYNC detecting circuit 1-2 which detects the SYNC information on the data train. Then the circuit 1 forms a write address with said SYNC pulse and the clock synchronizing with the reproduction data word. Then the order of write data is exchanged with that of the read data. A memory 1-1 can work at high speed and therefore the another kind of data can be read out of the memory 1-1 for a period from the writing of data to the writing of the next data. Furthermore the constitution of a read or write address generating circuit 1-4 or 1-3 which is necessary for exchange between orders of data by carrying out this exchange at every frame is simplified. Thus the rearrangement of data is carried out at every frame by a memory. This omits a rearrangement circuit needed in a reproduction mode and therefore reduces the scale of a time base correcting circuit.
