    • PURPOSE:To easily and surely connect plastic optical fibers with a small connection loss by using a connector formed by putting a transparent adhesive agent into a connecting tube. CONSTITUTION:The low-viscosity adhesive agent or resin raw material is stably held in the joining tube 1 by enclosing the transparent adhesive agent 2 with films 3. The films 3 are ruptured by the insertion pressure of the fibers. The refractive index of the films 3 is equaled or approximated to the refractive index of the adhesive agent after curing to prevent the increase in scattering and absorbing even when the films remain. The cured film of the adhesive agent is effective and the loss is additionally decreased if the raw material resin of the core is used for the adhesive agent. The smooth insertion is assured if a discharge hole for the excess resin is provided near the joint part at the time of insertion. The intrusion of air bubbles is effectively prevented by finely drawing a part of the joint tube toward the center. The use of a heat-shrinkable tube is a good alternative. The adhesion by using the adhesive agent of a curing type by mixing is successively executed by partitioning the components by a film and rupturing the partition by insertion of the fibers.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a low-loss fiber which can be easily laid without on-site working by using a core formed by previously curing a crosslinkable resin to a required shape. CONSTITUTION:Formation of a connector 3 at the end of the fiber 1 is executed by putting a metallic mold around a fiber skin and molding a connector ferrule 7 and a knob part 8 by the mold. The crosslinkable resin is then packed in the tube of a clad 6 molded to the shape of a prescribed route in the middle part and is cured, by which the core 4 is formed and the optical fiber 1 is produced. The part beyond the knob part 8 is ground to a prescribed length lwhen both ends are cut slightly longer and are inserted into an end face working machine. Only the core 4 is ground to form an end globe 10 at this time. A liquid monomer is thinly coated on such end to obtain a smooth surface by utilizing the surface tension thereof and the coating is cured in this state, then the end globe 10 which substantially forbids scattering is obtd. The light transmission loss over the entire part is thereby decreased and the need for an assembly stage is eliminated.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frequency output device protecting a frequency output terminal and sufficiently securing a band of a signal waveform. SOLUTION: An output terminal of a frequency output device 2 to output a frequency signal includes a varistor element Zs1. Thus, when voltage exceeding varistor voltage, for example, is applied to the output terminal, an extra voltage over the varistor voltage is caused to flow to a grounding side to prevent high surge voltage from being input to the frequency output device 2, and the frequency output device 2 is protected. Also, an amount of electric discharge during the electric discharge is reduced to smoothen a change in voltage, peak current when voltage falls is lowered to reduce influences of electromagnetic inductive noise, such as radio noise, and a necessary band of a frequency signal is secured. • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air flow rate-measuring apparatus of a heating resistor type which can output a singular point and inform an apparatus abnormality, etc., outside in a system carrying out digital trimming and outputting after modulating a pulse width by software. SOLUTION: A signal of a sucked air flow rate of an internal combustion engine detected by an air flow rate sensor 100 is converted digitally into an air flow rate signal by a numeric value operation means 300 and an error of the flow rate is digitally corrected. An analog output means 400 is constituted of a timer output port 410 which outputs an analog signal of output data of the numeric value operation means 300 according to a pulse width modulation system by a timer function by software and an I/O port 420 which outputs an analog signal of a level preliminarily set on the basis of the output data of the numeric value operation means 300, and therefore the analog output means outputs after converting the output data of numeric value operation means 300 to analog data.
