摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a passenger conveyer convenient for a person walking outside the passenger conveyer and having a structure effective for utilizing a staircase space on the building structure side. CONSTITUTION:A handrail body 10 is provided near a balustrade on the staircase 2 side of a passenger conveyer 1 provided adjacent to the path of the staircase or the like. A support 11 has one end mounted on the handrail body 10 and the other end mounted on a ceiling 13 so that support 11 isolates the passenger conveyer 1 from the passenger untilizing the staircase 2 to serve as a wall body while a walker's handrail body 10 capable of ensuring the staircase side space by the absense of the wall body is provided.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent a wrench by arranging a rod in a prescribed position on a sprocket shaft so as to be movable in the width direction by rotation of a sprocket of a driving force transmitting mechanism to change a condition into a normal condition and a wheelchair condition, and regulating and releasing operation of the rod according to an operational condition by a stopper arranged in a fixing part. CONSTITUTION:At a landing port in wheelchair operation, nuts 13 and 13 move by interlocking with rotation of a sprocket shaft 21 by a mesh of a chain 26 with a horizontally moving sprocket 22, and release engagement with a stopper 19 of a rod 17. Thereby, a movable footstep 10a slips out of a main body 10, and forms the same horizontal plane with a tread of the first wheelchair footstep in an inclined part. At an alighting port, a horizontally moving sprocket 24 rotates by a mesh with the chain 26, and a sprocket shaft 23 is rotated. Thereby, the sprocket shaft 21 is rotated, and moves the nuts 13 and 13, and the rod 17 engages with the stopper 19, and houses the movable footstep 10a in the main body 10, and returns to a normal condition.

摘要： PURPOSE: To detect foreign matter sticking or the like so that an escalator can be stopped, by setting up a detector of detecting an abnormal protrusion in a handrail surface between two rollers brought into contact with the handrail surface to hold a fixed space to be mounted in a main frame. CONSTITUTION: A handrail 1 is in/out moved from a handrail in/out port provided in an on-getting port. Then in a plate 2 mounted in a main frame, two rollers 3 are provided, with these rollers into contact with a surface of the handrail 1, and rotated according to circulation moving the handrail 1. That is, by supporting the handrail 1 by the rollers 3, the handrail 1 is placed horizontal to a center line of the rollers 3. A detector 4 is mounted in the plate 2 between the rollers 3, and fine adjusted so as to ensure a clearance between a point end of the detector 4 and the surface of the handrail 1 in a condition of no abnormality of the handrail 1. In this way, swelling a surface of the handrail 1 and sticking foreign matter are detected, also to stop an escalator when detected this handrail surface.
