摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor that can facilitate and shorten the inspection of its handrail drive. SOLUTION: A handrail drive 10 is disposed about an inclined portion between a foot floor and a head floor at both of which a handrail 9 moves horizontally or about an inclined handrail return portion 9A within the parapet. The handrail drive 10 is actuated by an upper sprocket via a handrail driving chain 11. The parapet is fitted with a sectional parapet panel 7, whose edges about the handrail drive 10 are formed linearly so as to make panel mounting/ dismounting portions 7A adapted to be placed in and out of position for the inspection of the handrail drive 10. The inspection work is thus carried out more efficiently.

With the structure, the water-tight welding sections W4-W7 stop the lubrication oil elevating and moving in a horizontal direction from an overlap position between the upper and lower thin plates that are not water-tightly welded, to drop the oil downward along the water-tight welding sections of the notched part, returning onto the lower thin plate, thus preventing oil from leaking to the outside of the oil pan.

By allowing the tread to travel, the contact member 5 slides on the oil pan 4 to collect the dust on the oil pan 4. The contact member 5 is divided into a center contact portion 5A supported by the connection member 3, a right contact portion 5B extending to the right side of the center contact portion 5A, and a left contact portion extending to the left side of the center contact portion 5A. The right contact portion 5B and the left contact portion are turnably provided on the center contact portion 5A so as to be vertically turned to the upper face shape of the oil pan 4.
