    • PURPOSE:To provide a portable generator which has a small size but high reliability, by moving the fuel in a lower chamber to an upper chamber by means of a pump operting an in resonance with vibration generated by an internal combustion engine, and feeding the fuel from the upper chamber to the internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:A fuel tank 36 is provided with a pipe 38 serving as a fuel feed port at its side slightly above the center in the direction of height. The pipe 38 is communicated with the fuel flow-in port of a carburetter 34 through a fuel feed pipe 32. Through action of a vibrator 80 vertically moving in resonance with vibration generated by an internal combustion engine 16, the fuel in a lower chamber 52 gradually flows in an upper chamber 50, and is fed through the pipe 38 to the internal combustion chamber 16. Thus, a fuel feed port can be provided in relatively high position of the fuel tank 36, allowing the fuel tank 36 to be located in low position, resulting in reduction of the total size of a portable generator.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain AC and DC outputs from one armature winding by generating an AC output by a permanent magnet provided in a portion of field poles and by rectifying the AC output by using a rectifier for a shunt exciting coil. CONSTITUTION:Field poles 7 are provided, with an armature 1 having an armature coil 2 which is connected to an AC output terminal 11 through brushes 4 and 5 being intervened, shunt field coils 8 are provided in the field coils 7, and permanent magnets 13 are attached to the portions of the surfaces of the field poles. The input side of a rectifier 9 is connected in parallel with the AC output terminal 11, and a DC output terminal 12 is connected to the output side of the rectifier 9. The shunt excitor coils 8 are connected to the rectifier through a switch 14 in parallel with the DC output terminal. In this constitution, high-voltage or low-voltage AC output or low-voltage DC output can be obtained from one armature winding 2.
