    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost in production of various kinds of panels having two or more kinds of partition wall dimensions by forming a tapered part at an end of a substrate, thereby allowing sealing of a front substrate and a rear substrate by use of only a sealing material containing a spherical spacer having one kind of particle size.
      SOLUTION: In the plasma display panel including a discharge space having a predetermined clearance between a front substrate and a rear substrate, which is formed by arranging the substrates in opposition to each other through a clearance dimension regulating member, and sealing the periphery of the substrates with a sealing material, each of the front substrate and the rear substrate includes a tapered part such that the thickness of the substrate is gradually reduced toward the substrate end portion in an arrangement position of the sealing material, and as the sealing material, a glass material containing a spherical spacer having a diameter larger than the clearance dimension between the front substrate and the rear substrate and smaller than a dimension obtained by adding the thickness of the front or rear substrate to the clearance dimension is used.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique to uniformly pack a fluorescent substance paste into an object to be printed thereon with high positional accuracy.
      SOLUTION: A packing mask of the fluorescent substance paste comprises: a substrate with an aperture pattern part formed in a desired position; and a screen mesh. In addition, the aperture size (area) formed by crossing wire of the mesh, is not larger than half the area of the aperture pattern part formed on a metal foil or a metal plate, and not smaller than 20 times the average particle diameter of a fluorescent substance particle contained in the fluorescent substance paste, and not smaller than 4 times the maximum particle diameter.
