    • PURPOSE:To intend simplification of reactor structure through enabling omission of a smaller rotating plug, by moving a traveling cart equipped with a telescopic tube with a gripper, along a mono-rail prepared for horizontal move of a refueling machine, which installed to a rotating plug which can freely rotate on a roof deck of a reactor. CONSTITUTION:A refueling machine 1 can be transferred to a required fuel position by rotating a simply rotating plug which can freely rotate on a roof deck of a rector and by transferring a traveling cart 5 along a mono-rail prepared for horizontal move of the refueling machine 1 which is fixed to the plug 2, driven by a driving motor 8 and a ball screw 7 and etc. At this position, a telescopic tube 12 equipped to the cart 5 and having a gripper 13 on its end, changes its length by operation of an electric driven worm 10 and a fuel is exchanged. By this constitution, the smaller rotating plug can be omitted thereby the nuclear reactor structure is much simplified.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a surface defect by collectively measuring a surface to be inspected of a wide area without contact and to size the length and depth of the surface defect through the use of a flaw detecting image.
      SOLUTION: A speckle patterning laser oscillator 6 is made to oscillate pulse laser light, so that reflected light 12 from the object to be inspected 1 is made to interfere over a CCD element with reference light branched by a beam splitter 10 for branching the reference light to photograph a first speckle pattern. Pulse laser light is oscillated by a pulse laser 5 for exciting elastic waves and condensed by a lens 7 to excite elastic waves from an elastic wave exciting part 4 and to photograph a second speckle pattern similarly to the first speckle pattern. Image processing is performed on the images of the two patterns by an image processing device 15 to determine a flaw detecting image. The length of the defect is measured based on the flaw detecting image. The difference between a surface deviation of a surface defect part and a surface deviation of a sound part is computed based on the flaw detecting image. By making reference to a database from the difference and the length of the defect, the depth of the defect is sized.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the replacement of a jet pump in a nuclear reactor having extended operation result with high reliability, by jointing the clad material of a reactor pressure vessel inside and the support structure of a new jet pump by friction welding. SOLUTION: The inside structure of a nuclear reactor 3, including a shroud 15 and a jet pump, is removed in a state where reactor water is held in a reactor pressure vessel 18, a shield body 38 is provided in a range including the reactor core area of the reactor pressure vessel 18, the reactor water of the reactor pressure vessel 18 is extracted, and thereafter in the case of the replacement of the reactor inside structure performing the attaching of the new inside structure and the removal of the shield body 38, the clad material of the inside of the reactor pressure vessel 18 and the support structure of the new jet pump are jointed with friction welding, when the new jet pump is attached. As a result, the clad material which lowered in mechanical strength through aging caused by extended operation and the support material of the jet pump can be jointed surely by a small heat input amount with the use of friction welding.
