    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for detecting the moving direction of a moving body capable of accurately estimating the moving direction by correcting the directional error by misalignment of terrestrial magnetism. SOLUTION: This method and system are used for specifying the position of the moving body based on a signal from a transmitter 701 disposed at a predetermined position. The system corrects a detection signal value of the travelling direction from a direction detecting means 801 included in the moving body, acquires a misalignment value of the terrestrial magnetism at the current position of the moving body based on the signal from the transmitter 701 in detecting the travelling direction of the moving body, and detects the direction by correcting the directional error of the detected signal value of the travelling direction of the moving body from the direction detecting means 801 using the acquired misalignment value of the terrestrial magnetism at that position.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preventive maintenance service system for an automobile capable of determining a deteriorated state of a component needing inspection on the basis of vehicular component condition information acquired from a service life of the component needing inspection used in a vehicle and a component condition sensor attached to the vehicular component or on the basis of a travel distance, a traveling environment where the vehicle is used on the basis of the service life of the vehicular component and a road environment where the vehicle is traveling, and issuing a warning for component replacement when the deteriorated state of the component needing inspection reaches a preset criterion and it is time for replacement.
      SOLUTION: With regard to respective components needing inspection stored in a vehicular inspection component database concerning each vehicle precedently provided from a business unit and stored in a vehicle database, replacement timing is detected and a warning is issued that it is time for replacement on the basis of detected data of the component condition sensor in relation to a component attached with the component condition sensor, and on the basis of the service life corrected in response to an operating environment in relation to a component having no component condition sensor attached therewith.
