    • PURPOSE:To prevent infiltration of conductive foreign substances and sand grains, etc. between a probe and bottom plate, by installing a sand separator around the probe of a sheet thickness gauge. CONSTITUTION:A dust separating ring 15 provided with a ring 16 connected with a feather-shaped brush 17 is installed along the outer periphery of a probe 10. The ring 15 is available for both LH and RH direction rotations by means of a lower gear 14 attached on the same shaft as an upper gear 13 in engagement with a feed screw. When a gauge 9 displaces to the right as shown by a thick solid line by rotations of the feed screw 8, the dust separating ring 15 rotates in clockwise direction as shown by a fine solid line through the gears 13 and 14 in engagement with the feed screw 8. Consequently, when the ring 15 displaces to the right during clockwise rotations, foreign substances, such as sand grains, etc. located in the right front of the probe is removed to the transversal side in the rear of the probe 10. Similarly, when the gauge 9 displaces to the left as shown by a thick broken line, it removes foreign substances, such as sand grains to the transversal side in the rear by making clockwise rotations shown by a fine broken line and the ring 15 displaces together with the probe.

    • PURPOSE:To check a control board efficiently and reduce the trouble of check by using a model to check design result of a controller and obtaining the history of input/output signals as a test pattern and checking the control board after production on a basis of this pattern. CONSTITUTION:A design result checking device 300 of a checking device 20 generates models of the control board and a controller object, which are designed before production of the control board, by software and accesses models in accordance with test procedures to obtain various responses. Further, the test pattern is extracted and is stored in a disc memory 500. A control board checking device 400 extracts the history of input/output signals of a control board 600 to be checked after production. An input signal is given to the control board 600 as a test input pattern, and it is checked whether the response coincides with a test output pattern, namely, an output signal or not. Thereafter, it is checked whether the control board is produced correctly or not on a basis of check results.
