    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator apparatus capable of sealing a clearance gap between the lower end part of a car door and a car sill in closing a door regardless of settling of a floor due to loading.SOLUTION: An elevator apparatus includes: a door panel 5 having a lower shield body 14, a movable plate 12, and an interlocking mechanism 10; and a car sill 9. The lower shield body 14 is fixed to the movable plate 12. The movable plate 12, to which the lower shield body 14 is fixed to the lower part thereof, is connected to the interlocking mechanism 10 through a long hole 12a provided on the upper part. The interlocking mechanism 10 is provided with a pressing part 11 at one end part, and the other end part is a vertically movable part 10a. The other end part is provided with a shaft 13 penetrating the interior of the long hole 12a to vertically move, thereby supporting the movable plate 12. In closing a door, the pressing part 11 is pressed to lower the vertically movable part 10a, the movable plate 12, and the lower shield body 14. When the pressing part 11 is further pressed after the lower shield body 14 abuts on the car sill 9, the shaft 13 is lowered in the interior of the long hole 12a so that the vertically movable part 10a can be further lowered.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double deck elevator capable of automatically correcting extension of a rope, and enabling a maintenance operator to accurately and easily grasp timing necessary to adjust the rope.SOLUTION: A double deck elevator includes: cord elements 17 suspending an upper car and a lower car; a fixed-member moving device 25 including a linearly moving portion 25a that vertically moves; a fixed member 42 that is fixed to the linearly moving portion 25a, to which one end of each cord element 17 is fixed, and that includes a protrusion portion 50; a switch 51; and a control device 8 connected to the fixed-member moving device 25 and the switch 51, and moving the linearly moving portion 25a. The control device 8 moves the linearly moving portion 25a upward to move the fixed member 42 upward by as much as a difference between a stop position of the upper car or the lower car when a load of the upper and lower cars is zero and a specified stop position of the upper car or the lower car. The switch 51 is operated by the protrusion portion 50 in response to movement of the fixed member 42 and transmits a signal to the control device 8. The control device 8 receives the signal and displays information on timing of adjusting the cord elements 17 on a monitor 70.
