    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unify the set direction of paper sheets by providing plural hoppers on the upper part of a paper sheets printing mechanism part so that the direction of hopper of the printing mechanism part is same as the set direction and providing a stagnatable carrying route before the carrying to the printing mechanism part. SOLUTION: A turn over operation for carrying the paper sheets 3 stagnated in a stagnation carrying route 13 to a printing part is carried out. A switching gate 19 is switched to a reverse direction and further a carrying roller is rotated in a reverse direction by rotating a stepping motor 10 to the reverse direction and the paper sheets 3 are retreated from the stagnation carrying route 13 and carried to the next printing part 20 as they are. The paper sheets are set to a hopper 23 staying the lower side of a device in such state that the printed surface of paper sheets 3 is faced upward. Therefore, even when the hopper group of the upper side of the device are installed on the upper side of a mechanism having the printing part 20, as the turn over operation of the pasper sheets 3 is carried out by the stagnation carrying route 13, the set is possible in the same direction as the paper sheets on the hopper of the printing side and the error of the set direction is prevented.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and inexpensive automatic payment slip handling device capable of handling a perforated payment slip sucked into the device, if torn off at perforations as a boundary during handling and separated into plural slip pieces, similarly to a normal payment slip. SOLUTION: A medium (the payment slip) is absorbed and its length is checked and stored in a memory (Steps 80-81). The medium, if torn off and skewed, is put aside and then its length is checked again (Steps 82-85). Then, its image is read and determined whether it is true or not, and if it is true, similar procedures to those in Steps 81-86 are performed (Steps 87-95). The length of the medium, when sucked, is compared with the length of the medium, when checked, a medium-to-medium distance for the torn-off medium is calculated as a correction value, printing and marking positions are corrected for printing and marking operation, and a receipt portion is returned to a customer and a collection portion such as a bank copy is collected by a collection part (Steps 96-102).

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To issue a large number of tickets by means of the same device by designating at least one of plural hoppers for storing the media which are drawn out of other hoppers and selecting these hoppers for the drawing-out or returning operations. SOLUTION: When both hoppers 1 and 2 function as the drawing-out hoppers, two device doors 33 and the hopper doors 34 and 35 are opened before an action is started and then closed after the magnetic tickets are set. A single sheet or plural sheets of tickets are usually issued up to the number of tickets that can be stacked at an ejection port 15 at a time (window work). When the hopper 1 is used as a drawing-out hopper with the hopper 2 used as a stocker of large capacity respectively, both doors 33 and the door 34 are opened and then closed after the magnetic tickets are set at only the hopper 1. When plural sheets of tickets exceeding the stacking capacity of the port 15 are issued (issuing work of a large number of tickets), the magnetic tickets drawn out of the hopper 1 undergo the prescribed processing like the case of the window work and then are printed. Then the printed tickets are carried to the hopper 2 after a carrier motor is reversed and a changeover gate is switched.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute the two-way carriage of a document at its cut part by forming a movable guide for guiding a tip of the document to prevent a jam in a rotary cutter mechanism part incapable of forming a comb-tooth shape for preventing the jam and to use a carrying passage having a cut part and a tentative escape passage of the document in common. SOLUTION: The tip of the document is smoothly guided to prevent the jam by changing the positions of the flat part of rotary teeth (a part for guiding the document) and the movable guide moving in conjunction with the rotary teeth by rotating the rotary teeth in entering and ejecting the document into/ from the cut part, so that the two-way carriage at the cut part is enabled. The carrying passage can be used as the tentative escape passage of the document in common by enabling the two-way carriage and by installing the cut part in a longitudinal carrying passage connecting the upper and lower carrying passages.
