摘要： PURPOSE:To cope with a variety of installation situations by a method wherein a user is allowed to change selective set points of air flow rate by a remote control switch. CONSTITUTION:A user is allowed to change the selection range itself of air flow rate. When receiving a signal of a change of the selection range from a remote control switch 4, a variable speed controller 3 decides the range of rotating speed of a fan motor 2. The user chooses an air flow rate within the decided range by an air flow change switch of the remote control switch 4, and when receiving the signal, the variable speed controller 3 of the fan motor operates the fan motor 2 at a rotation speed corresponding the air flow rate designated by the user. Thereby, the variable rotating speed range of the fan motor 2 can be selected from among two or more set points, so that a delicate air flow control corresponding to the installation circumstances of an air conditioner can be performed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To diminish the temperature drop due to defrosting operation during heating operation and improve the comfort by a method wherein bypass circuits are opened and closed in turn so that indoor units are not defrosted at the same time. CONSTITUTION:Independent refrigerating cycles are provided by the same number as indoor units 8. The refrigerating cycles use a compressor in common and solenoid valves 6 can be independently opened and closed. When one of the solenoid valves 6 is opened to make hot gas bypass in the direction shown by a broken line, only a section of an outdoor heat exchanger 5 which is divided into sections can be defrosted. Thus, defrosting operation can be performed for only one of the indoor units 8 while the others remain in heating operation. The outdoor heat exchanger 5 which is divided in sections are defrosted section by section until defrosting of the whole surface of the outdoor heat exchanger 5 is completed. Thereby, the temperature drop due to defrosting operation during heating operation can be reduced and the comfort is improved.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain an adequate noise reduction characteristic corresponding to the frequency of flow noise by a method wherein a muffler having a noise reduction characteristic tuned to the frequency generated by a gas-liquid two- phase refrigerant flow is integrated into a capillary tube, expansion valve, etc. CONSTITUTION:A refrigerant cycle consists of a compressor 10, outdoor heat exchanger 11, four-way valve 13, indoor heat exchanger 14, expansion mechanism 16 which are connected in series. The flow noise of a heat pump cycle has a particular frequency determined depending upon specifications of the capillary tube, etc., and a muffler is designed to have dimensions by which the particular frequency is diminished, and integrated into a body with the capillary tube. This expansion mechanism 16 is installed in the refrigerating cycle so that flow noise generated by the refrigerant flowing through the refrigerating cycle is diminished by the action of the muffler tuned to the frequency characteristic of the flow noise. Thereby, an adequate noise reduction characteristic can be obtained corresponding to the frequency of flow noise.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make compact and silent an outdoor machine for an air conditioner which uses the air blowing-out surface of an axial fan installed to the upper section of an enclosure as its upper surface by providing a corner guide to at least one of the void sections in the corner sections formed of the front-face plate, roof plate, and one side-face plate which is adjacent to the front-face plate. SOLUTION: A top-flow type outdoor machine 1 is provided with air supplying openings on its side-face sides and a heat exchanger 8 on its back side. The machine 1 is also provided with a compressor 9, an accumulator 10, an axial fan, a bell mouth 12, etc., and a heat-exchanged wind exhausted front the fan 11 is discharged upward after passing through an exhaust pipe 7 and a guard net 16. In the machine 1, a corner guide 18a is provided to the void of each corner section formed of the front-face plate 2, side-face plate, roof plate 6, and bell mouth of the machine 1. Therefore, the outdoor machine 1 can be operated silently, because the heat-exchanged wind sucked from the heat exchanger 8 is prevented front staying in the voids of the corner sections and, at the same time, the efficiency deterioration of the fan 11 caused by uneven flows in the circumferential direction can be suppressed.
