    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the excellent camera control system with reliability and external appearance by connecting sequentially a 1st control port and a 2nd control port in series, connecting a video output terminal of a 1st camera to a monitor and the 1st control port to an operation section to control a plurality of cameras with a few number of wires. SOLUTION: A camera control signal outputted from an operation section 7 is given to a control port P1 of a control section 4 of a camera 1a and another control port P2 is connected to the control port P1 of a camera 1b. Similarly control ports of n-sets of cameras are sequentially connected. On the other hand, as to a video image, a video output terminal of n-th camera connects to (n-1)th camera video input terminal. Succeedingly a video output terminal of the (n-1)th camera connects to a video input terminal of a (n-2)th camera video input terminal. Similarly video output terminals and video input terminals of the n-sets of the cameras are connected sequentially and a video output terminal of the 1st camera 1a connects to a monitor section 8. Thus, a plurality of the cameras are controlled with a few number of wires.

    • PURPOSE:To efficiently reverse an original document upside down when a user sets the original upside down accidentally on an image reader by inverting the sequence of a bit storing of one line before performing compressive encoding, and storing compressively encoded image data at every line in the reverse sequence of readout sequence. CONSTITUTION:When an indication for performing an upside-down processing is issued to an encoding line and reference line inversion processing part 13, the encoding line and reference lie inversion processing part 13 sets original image line data l1 in a line memory 3 as an encoding line, and sets original line data l2 in a line memory 4 as a reference line. An encoder 5 inputs data of two lines by the instruction of a control part 9 via main scan inversion processing parts 11 and 12, and executes two-dimensional encoding. The code compression data D1 of the line data l1 generated by the encoder 5 is stored in the termination of a code compression data buffer memory 6 by a line sequence inversion processing part 14. Since it is possible to perform one- dimensional encoding and the two-dimensional encoding from a line inputted first by reading scan by such upside-down processing, the capacity of a memory can be reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To remove the dispersion of analog image outputs from a sensor and to improve the reading quality of an image by setting up the scanning timing of the light response type sensor to a fixed period. CONSTITUTION:The image reading sensor 1 outputs an analog signal corresponding to an original image while setting up one line to a fixed period by a clock from a sensor driving timing generator 4. The sensor output is converted into binary image data by a binary-encoding part 3 and then the converted data are written in a line memory 11 or 12 in accordance with the instruction of line memory writable instruction parts 7, 8. The image data of one line written in the memory 11 or 12 are read out by a reading memory switching part 6. Since the variance of analog outputs from the light response type sensor can be removed in said constitution, the reading quality of an image can be improved.

    • PURPOSE:To reproduce a pseudo halftone from which the influence of a fixed pattern noise is removed and to improve the picture quality of a reproduced picture by forming a halftone slice level by the use of a shading waveform at the time of being bright, the fixed pattern noise and a dither matrix. CONSTITUTION:The output (e) of a contact sensor 1 passes an analog signal processing circuit 2, a sample/hold circuit 3, digitally converted in an A/D converting part 5 and inputted to a shading writing control part 6. The shading writing control part 6 stores the shading waveform at the time of reading an all white original in a bright time shading waveform storage part 7 and stores the fixed pattern noise indicated by the shading waveform at the time of reading an all black original in a dark time shading waveform storage part 8. An arithmetic part 10 executes an operation of an expression (1) by using signals A, B taken out from the storage part 7, 8 respectively and a gradation level signal alphaij from a dither matrix pattern generating part 9, outputs the arithmetic result as the halftone slice level signal C and a binarization circuit 11 binarizes the output (h) of the circuit 3 by considering the signal C to be a threshold.
