CONSTITUTION:When positive potential is applied to a coil 22 of a solenoid 18, a plunger 23 is attracted to a permanent magnet 21, thereby a gate member 14 is rotated resisting a spring 17, and rotated from an original position to another position. And, when a negative voltage is applied to the coil 22 of the solenoid 18, a magnetic field by the permanent magnet 21 disappears, the plunger 23 becomes free, the gate member 14 is rotated in the reverse direction by the spring 17, and returns to the original position. Even a power failure occurs when the gate member 14 is at another position, the position of the gate member 14 does not change as the plunger 23 is attracted to the permanent magnet 21. Also, the position of the gate member 14 does not change by the action of the spring even if the electricity is cut off when the gate member 14 is at the original position.

CONSTITUTION:In a motor control circuit (a), a timing at which a separated bank note passes is detected by means of two detecting sensors 15 on both sides, and signals therefrom are inputted to a first interface 23. A difference in a pass time of a bank note between the detecting sensors on both sides is computed by a computing part 24. According to the magnitude of the pass time difference, the rotation speed of a motor 29 is assigned based on a control table and inputted to a control part 26. Namely, from a lag time between the pass timings on both sides, a skew amount of a bank note is computed, and the speed of a motor on the side where a bank note is conveyed ahead is decreased for a specified time so that the skew amount is reduced to a value lower than a specified value. Meanwhile, the control part 26 charges the motor 29 with a control current through a second interface 27.

Then, the emergent condition is notified to a security company or the external part of the room, where a cash handling device is set, by a notifying means or a flashing lamp 9. Thus, the operator can be free from the threat of the rubber.

    • PURPOSE:To perform reliable detection of the presence of sheets in a containing box without being influenced by a state, e.g., sheet powder, dust, and bending of sheets, by a method wherein first and second optical sensors to detect the presence of sheets accumulated on a press plate are mounted in a state that the respective optical axes are positioned in an oblique state. CONSTITUTION:During the starting of an accumulation motion, a press plate 2 is raised to the given position of the upper surface of sheets to ensure a space necessary to the accumulation motion of sheets 3. With this state, the one end part of a guide plate 14 is pressed by means of the upper surface of the press plate 2, and the guide plate 14 is rotated clockwisely. The position of the other end of the guide plate 14 is detected by means of an emission element 16 and a collection element 17 of an optical sensor. Uptake rollers 11 and 12 of a sheet accumulating means are rotated in the direction of arrow marks (a) and (b), the sheets 3 are introduced one by one from a preceding process toward the direction of an arrow mark (c), and the sheets 3 are laminated and accumulated on the press plate 2 through the guide plate 14. The position of the upper surface of the sheets 3 is detected through the guide plate 14 by means of the collection element 16 and the emission element 17.
