    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion device that reduces high harmonics generated by the electrical circuit of an air-conditioning equipment for controlling a capacity and at the same time, has a same packaging space as before. SOLUTION: A power conversion device is constituted of a diode module 2 for rectifying AC from a three-phase AC power supply 1, an electrolytic capacitor 4 for smoothing, a boosting chopper a circuit consisting of a DC reactor 3, a diode 2a, and a transistor 6 of switching element including the electrolytic capacitor 4, a transistor module 5 for converting the boosted DC. This frequency can be varied and a three-phase AC can be supplied to an induction electric motor for driving a compressor, and a current sensor 9 that is provided between the diode module 2 and the electrolytic capacitor 4. A control device 8 performs control, so that a DC current that flows in the current sensor 9 becomes constant, thus generating a rectangular wave at 120 degrees at each line of the power supply 1 and reducing high harmonics as compared to the conventional system, and the switching element 6, the diode 2a, and the transistor module 5 are molded into a single package.
