    • PURPOSE:To improve the electrical and mechanical performances of a rotor, by coupling directly the rim and core of the rotor to each other via an engaging part provided between them, and by providing cooling passages in the rotor. CONSTITUTION:A rim 3 of a rotor and a core 5 of the rotor are coupled to each other by no core key, but they are coupled to each other directly by engaging a dovetail protruding part provided on the core 5 with a dovetail recessed part provided on the rim 3. Also, air ducts 9, core ducts 10, and rim ducts 11 are provided in the rotor, and the air ducts 9 and the core ducts 10 are respectively connected with the rim ducts 11. Hereupon, the core ducts 10 are so provided in the core 5 as to extend in its radial direction, and the air ducts 9 are so provided in the rim 3 as to extend in its radial direction, and further, the rim ducts 11 are so provided in the rim 3 as to extend in its laminar direction. As a result, it is possible to make the structure of the outer peripheral part of the rim 3 continuous, and the coupling part, the core 5 and a winding 7 of the rotor are cooled, and in its turn, the electrical and mechanical performances of the rotor can be improved.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent excessive contact surface pressure between a coil and a draft tube, by a method wherein the draft tube is made I-like form, and a non-contact portion with the draft tube is provided on the coil at center portion in radial direction. CONSTITUTION:A rotor is composed of a rotary shaft 1, a rotor core 3 provided thereon through a spider 2, an end plate 4 of the core 3, a plurality of wing pieces 5, an annular clamper 6, a coil support ring 9 fixed to a recess of a projection 7 by fitting a support member 8, a plurality of rotor coils 11, a binding wire 13 for tightening each coil 11 through an insulator 12, and the like. According to fan action of the wing pieces 5, cooling air flows in arrow direction within the draft tube 14a between the coils 11. In this case, the draft tube 14a is made I-like form, and non-contact portions 15a, 15b with the draft tube 14a are provided on the coil 11 at center portion in radial direction. Thereby thermal expansion of the non-contact portions 15a, 15b on the coil center portion is not restricted, and the excessive contact surface pressure can be prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption without loss of cooling effect by stopping a lower fan simultaneously with the stop of a rotor when fans are mounted at the upper and lower portions of a rotor, and stopping the upper fan after the prescribed time is elapsed. CONSTITUTION:When upper and lower fans 11, 12 are respectively provided at the upper and lower portions of a rotor 3 to ventilate and cool the rotor 3, the fan 12 is stopped near the stopping time point of the rotor 3, and the fan 11 is stopped after it is continued in operation for the prescribed time. Thus, a bracket arm and a vibrationproof stay prevent from excessively rising at the temperature, and power consumption is reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance the capability of oil-film creation, in a water turbine generator, etc., by supporting bearing shoes with their radial inclinations being reduced, so that an oil film created on the side surface of each shoe is uniform and increased. CONSTITUTION:The support point P of each bearing shoe 4, that is, the rotating center of a support member 10, is set between the inner and outer diameter R1, R2 sections of the bearing shoe 4 so that it comes to a point on the outer diameter side, B1>B2, but on the inner diameter side of the geometrical center thereof. Thus, the ratio of radial support point position BS/B which is the ratio of the diameter BS which is a difference between the diameter RS at the support point P of the bearing shoe 4 and the diameter of the inner diameter R1, and the radial length B of the bearing shoe 4, is set at a value such that the maximum thickness of an oil film between the bearing shoe 4 and a runner 3 is made large, but the highest temperature of the oil film is made low. With this arrangement, the bearing shoe 4 is supported being reduced in its radial inclination, the thickness of an oil film created on the slide surface with respect to the runner 3 is made uniform and increased, ranging from the inner diameter side M to the outer diameter side N, thereby the performance of the bearing is made satisfactory.

CONSTITUTION:Provided a radius supported by a retainer member 10 of a bearing shoe 4 is RS, the inner radius of the bearing shoe 4 is R1, the outer radius thereof is R2, and an angle is theta, the radius R4 supported by the retainer member 10 is formed such that it is longer than (0.52R2+0.48R1) and is shorter than 4/3.(R2 -R1 )/(R2 -R1 ).180sin(theta/2)/pitheta. This causes the bearing shoe 4 to be supported at a fulcrum P where inclination in the direction of radius is reduced, and enables improvement of an ability to form an oil film on a sliding surface between the bearing shoe 4 and a runner 3.
