摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure image density and to prevent fogging from occurring at a high-speed printing time, to secure the image density even in the case of low contrast potential and to prevent color mixture from occurring caused by reversely electrified toner when this two-component developer is applied to a try-level two-color image forming process. SOLUTION: The two-component developer which includes magnetic carrier coated with resin and provided with dynamic resistivity (Dρc ) being 1×10 to 1×10 Ωcm and carrier provided with static resistivity being 5×10 to 5×10 Ωcm and whose dynamic resistivity (Dρd ) is larger than 2×Dρc , and smaller than 1×10 Ωcm is used. The covering rate α of the toner with respect to the carrier is set to be within the range of 0.15 to 0.45. Besides, ratio Gt /Gd between the weight Gd of the developer and the weight Gt of the toner is set to be 0.015 to 0.035.

SOLUTION: Relating to this developing device 8 where a latent image on a photoreceptor 1 is developed by a developing roll 2 on whose surface a toner layer is formed; 1st and 2nd magnetic rolls 3 and 10 are arranged proximately to the developing roll 2, and toner is applied to/recovered from the developing roll 2 through a 1st magnetic brush 16 formed on the magnetic roll 3 and a 2nd magnetic brush 17 formed on the magnetic roll 10. Especially, the magnetic roll 10 has a pair of homopolar magnetic poles opposed to the magnetic roll 3 and a recovery magnetic pole opposed to the developing roll 2 and is set as a sleeve rotating and magnetic pole fixed system.

CONSTITUTION:A belt updation feeding device 10 moves a moving base 10a backward normally to allow the rotation of a conveyor belt to be free, but when a transfer belt is updated, the moving base 10a is moved forward at the position where both shafts face each other to couple both the shafts with each other, which are rotated by a updating motor 10b to feed one end part of the transfer belt 9 and wind the other end part simultaneously, thereby performing update operation for updating the exposed part. Consequently, when the exposed part of the belt 9 is deteriorated, the deteriorating exposed part is taken-up in the take-up part 7 to expose the unused belt part stored in the belt drawing part 8 between the belt drawing part 8 and belt take-up part 7. Consequently, the belt can be used for a long time without being replaced.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the separation efficiency of opposite-polarity toner greatly and to remove magnetic carriers by providing a magnet in a separating electrode for the opposite-polarity toner in a developer. CONSTITUTION:A separating device which removes the opposite-polarity toner consists of the separating electrode 33 composed of a magnetic roll 31 for separation and a sleeve 32 for separation, a toner scraping blade 34, a toner recovery container 35, and a carrier stopper 36, and the sleeve 32 is applied with a plus voltage from a power source 37. Then, the majority of a developer conveyed on the surface of the sleeve 32 after development is attracted to the surface of the sleeve 32 with the magnetic force of the magnetic roller 31 and conveyed, and scraped by the carrier stopper 36 to fall in a developing device 20. Then, toner which is charged electrostatically to the opposite polarity, i.e. negatively sticks on the surface of the sleeve 32 applied with a plus voltage by the power source 37 while the developer is conveyed on the surface of the sleeve 32, but is scraped by the blade 34 to fall on the bottom part of the container 35, so that it is separated and removed. Further, the electrode 33 is provided nearby a recording body 1 to remove magnetic carriers sticking on the surface of the recording body 1 at the same time.

The developer 9 moved on the developing roll 11 in this manner is scraped by a scraper 14 because the attraction disappears in the upper end part end part of the magnet body 12, and the developer 9 is dropped along the back part of the electrode structure 13, and the circulating cycle is executed. Meanwhile, the toner in the developer 9 is stuck electrically to the surface of the developing roll 11 and is approximated to or brought into contact with the surface of a recording material 1 to develop the latent image. Thus, the precise control of the toner concn. is unnecessary.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent fog or color mixing by separating and removing a toner electrostatically charged to unnecessary polarity with an electric field applied to a conductive fur brush. CONSTITUTION:The first toner 5 is charged positively inside the first developing device 4, but when it is mixed into the second developing device 7, it is reversed in charge to negative polarity by friction with the second toner 8 positively charged. A toner separator comprises a suction casing 12 and a conductive brush 13 installed in it near a sleeve 10 or in contact with it. For example, 500V voltage 14a is applied to the brush 13, and only the toner 5 reversed negatively of both toners 5, 8 is attached to the brush 13 and removed with suction air through the suction opening of the casing 12. As a result, fog or color mixing can be prevented.
