    • PURPOSE:To provide a measuring device having a simple structure with less vibration by linearly scanning a plurality of positions on a coil with a plurality of leaser beams with the use of a transverse runner, and by traversing the transverse runner during the scanning so as to collect data necessary for the positional measurement. CONSTITUTION:A laser distance meter 30 is attached, facing downward, to a transverse runner 20 which can freely run in the X-axial direction above a coil 10 introduced into a coil yard, and which can slightly move in the Y-axial direction. The laser distance meter 30 has a plurality of projecting parts Pa to P11 for projecting laser beams right downward, which are located in the center part of the transverse member 20 in the X-axial direction, and which are arranged at predetermined pitches in the Y-axial direction. The laser distance meter 30 receives reflected beams of the laser beams projected from the projecting parts P1 to P12 at light receiving parts M1, M2 so as to measure distances to reflecting points. A controller stores therein distances to a plurality of points measured by the laser distance meter 30, corresponding to the moving positions of the transverse runner 20, and performs several kinds of computation for specifying the position of the coil.

    • PURPOSE:To perform bracing positively by stopping a crane in a position slightly more to the front by the specified quantity than the target position so as to provide the crane with correcting distance and suppresing the residual oscillation within this correcting distance. CONSTITUTION:When the length of a rope 5b and the weight of a lifted load are detected, a reference pattern generating device 1 generates a reference pattern formed of such a speed pattern that oscillation generated by the acceleration/deceleration of a crane 5 at the time of being moved by the specified distance becomes zero at the stop time of the crane 5, and the oscillation of the lifted load 5c at the time of the acceleration/deceleration including the stoppage of the crane 5 being zero is detected at a detecting device 2a. A correction pattern generating device 2a generates a correction pattern formed of such a speed pattern as to make this detected oscillation zero, and the correction pattern is added to the reference pattern at the combining device 3, thus stopping oscillation of the lifted load 5c. The crane 5 is stopped once in a position more to the front by the specified quantity than the target stop position and then subjected to the suppression of residual oscillation as well as positioning.
