    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent interference between a boom and a front frame and to improve operability and safety. SOLUTION: This vertical hole drilling machine includes a front frame, which carries a kelly-bar rotary drive, and a boom, and is designed to drill a vertical hole using a drilling bucket. In this case, a boom elevating cylinder 1 and a frame elevating cylinder 2 are installed on a self-traveling vehicle main body, and a connecting line 15 provided with operation check valve 3a, 3c and a connecting line 16 provided with operation check valves 3b, 3d are communicated to the boom elevating cylinder 1, during the expansion and contraction of the boom elevating cylinder 1, respectively, so that pressure oil in the boom elevating cylinder 1 is forced into the frame elevating cylinder 2; the connecting lines 16, 15 are communicated to each other to discharge the pressure oil in the frame elevating cylinder 2 into the boom elevating cylinder 1. Therefore, as the boom elevating cylinder 1 expands and contracts the frame elevating cylinder 2 can also be made to expand and contract without bringing the front frame into contact with the boom.
