摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for causing the floatation and separation of the solids included in treatment sewage without requiring pressure resistance and hermeticity as the device and a sewage septic tank using the method. SOLUTION: The sewage containing the solids is made acidic by supplying either or both of carbonate and bicarbonate into the treatment sewage, by which carbon dioxide is generated. The solids are floated by utilizing the generated gaseous carbon dioxide. This sewage septic tank 1 is constituted by disposing a supplying device 12 for either or both of the carbonate and the bicarbonate and a supplying device 13 for a pH lowering agent (for example, an acid) for making the treatment sewage containing the solids acidic in the treatment sewage in a tank 11 separating the solids.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a uniform open-cell foam of a polyolefin-based resin, capable of being readily produced by a single step, and useful as a carrier for immobilizing microorganisms, usable for sewage disposal of a cheap biofiltration method. SOLUTION: This open-cell foam of a polyolefin-based resin is obtained by heating and melting a polyolefin-based resin composition comprising 50-90 pts.wt. polyolefin-based resin having =20 g/10 min MFR, mixing a volatile foaming agent therewith, and extruding the obtained mixture into a low pressure zone to foam the mixture. The polyolefin-based resin is preferably a graft polyethylene obtained by heating and kneading a peroxide and a vinylmethoxysilane therewith to add silane thereto. The open-cell foam is usable as a carrier for immobilizing microorganisms, to be incorporated into a biofiltration type sewage clarification apparatus.

The biological reaction part and the filtration part are provided with a return means 25 to return washing water involved in cleaning to the septic tank for single treatment, thereby the installation of a flush tank becomes unnecessary, and the aerobic treatment tank 30 is downsized.

The water inlet port of the feed water pipe 10 described above is directly coupled to water works and the water outlet port is closed by a valve 12 at the point where the water outlet is connected to the garbage pulverizing machine 1. The portion therebetween is installed above the biodegradation tank 4 and the valve 12 is controlled to be opened only when the garbage crushing machine 1 is started.
