摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily judge exchange time of a belt-like cleaning body by providing an output device having a light emitting body which informs the exchange of the belt-like cleaning body and other abnormality. SOLUTION: This travelling handrail cleaning device of a passenger conveyor is constituted by a second shaft body 7 which winds a main body case 4 having an opening in an upper part thereof, a first shaft 6 which is a cleaning body mounted shaft on which a beltlike cleaning body 5 which is not used yet is mounted like a roll, and a used part, a cleaning body pressing means 8 and a travelling handrail detection means 9, a detection part lifting means 10, a cleaning body updating means 11, a cleaning liquid supply means 12 which impregnates a cleaning liquid and silicone into the cleaning body 5, a control means 13 which monitors a condition of a travelling handrail cleaning device 3, memorizes, computes, and controls it, an operation part which gives instructions for the operation of the cleaning device 3, and an operation display means 14. A priority is given to an operation situation of the cleaning device 3 and signals of abnormal conditions, which are received by an input means of the control means 13, are monitored by a monitoring means at all times, and are displayed by a combination of light emitting, turning off light, and turning on light of a light emitting and output device so that the operation and abnormal conditions of the cleaning device 3 can be understood.

SOLUTION: A sensing part elevating/lowering means 10 is formed from the second motor 11a, clutch 11b, first pulley 10a, and a wire 10b, and a lever 9d of a moving handrail speed sensing means 9 is moved up and down by operating the second motor 11a, and thereby the revolution of the generator 9b is restricted for prolongation of lifetime by contacting or separating a roller 9a with/from a moving handrail according to the necessity or by sensing the movement of handrail or its speed.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the safety by providing a control means which limits drive time of a cleaning tool renewing means which renews a cleaning tool automatically. SOLUTION: A belt-like cleaning tool 5 is wound up and renewed by a cleaning tool renewing means 13 when the operation of a travelling handrail cleaning device 3 is started. Whether it can be wound within fixed time or not is confirmed by a microcomputer 11-1, and in case of YES, the operation moves to the next operation. In case of NO where it cannot be wound within the fixed time set in advance, it is the fixed time + α, and the microcomputer 11-1 limits and stops conducting electricity. A travelling handrail speed detection means 9 rises in the next operation, and whether it rises within fixed time which is set in advance and is required up to the detection by a travelling handrail speed detection means rise time detection sensor 9-1 or no not is confirmed by the microcomputer 11-1. In case of YES, the operation moves to the next operation, and in case of NO, it limits at fixed time + β to stop conducting electricity.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the reliability of the operation by pulling a cleaning tool apart from a travelling handrail when the cleaning tool is automatically renewed and pressing it against the travelling handrail again upon completion of renewal. SOLUTION: A motor 35 rotates a cam 40, and a pressing base 29 presses a belt-like cleaning tool 5 against a travelling handrail 1 through a pressing spring 30 and a cushion for cleaning. When the set cleaning time elapses and a cleaning face is renewed because the belt-like cleaning tool 5 becomes dirty, it is necessary to pull the belt-like cleaning tool 5 apart from the travelling handrail 1. In this case, a cleaning device receives a command from a control means, the cam 40 is rotated counterclockwise substantially 1/2 again by the motor 35, and the pressing base 29 is stopped at a lower limit position by a lower limit position detection means. As a result, a clearance is generated between the travelling handrail 1 and a cushion 28 of the pressing base 29 so that the belt-like cleaning tool 5 can be wound up.

Therefore, efficient cleaning is made possible. Moreover, the whole device can be drastically miniaturized.

SOLUTION: In a moving handrail cleaning device, a pressing table 2 is divided into two of a pressing table (1) 29 and a pressing table (2) 31 and rotatably supported on respective pins 27, and a band-shaped cleaning tool 5 is pressed to the side surface of a moving handrail 1 by the generated moment (a×p) by the length among the reaction generating points of the pins 27 and the pressing tables 29, 31 by making use of pressing force to the moving handrail 1 in cleaning. When the used band-shaped cleaning tool 15 is wound, the pressing member surface is made approximately horizontal or a middle high shape by the rotation by the self weight of the pressing table by releasing of reaction.

SOLUTION: In a moving handrail cleaning device, two one-way rotational clutches 22, 30 are incorporated in a shaft of a bandshaped cleaning tool renewing winding motor 21 so that respective power transmitting directions may be opposite to each other. Since one motor is shared by taking the one-way rotational clutch 22 for renewing and winding a band-shaped cleaning tool on the normal rotation side and the one-way rotational clutch 30 on the reverse rotation side as driving sources for the vertical operation of a moving direction and moving speed detecting machine 33 of a moving handrail, and also since reverse rotation stopping force of the one-way rotational clutches 22, 30 is used for braking, an inexpensive device can be formed with a simple structure.

Since a moving handrail speed detecting means 9 is separated from a cleaning tool by a speed detecting roller cover 4, a device can be miniaturized.

SOLUTION: When a command for starting updating operation of a cleaning tool 5 is received from a control means, a cam 29 of a pressing means 8 rotates to generate a clearance between the pressing means 8 and a travelling handrail 1. A cleaning tool 5 which is used already is wound from a first shaft body 6 side where a drive motor rotates gears 23, 24 in the direction of solid line arrow mark 37 through a one-way clutch 22 and turns them freely. When this gear 23 or 24 is turned manually, it can rotate in the direction of the same solid line 37 arrow mark or 38. Consequently, the gear 23 or 24 is merely turned by a finger at the time of twice or three times initial winding so that the work can be done simply.
