摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method for the tread of a passenger conveyer for cleaning the tread of the passenger conveyer by simple constitution. SOLUTION: A supporting member 63 is fastened with a screw hole with which the comb plate of a floor plate 2a is fastened, and a first and second cleaning bodies 61 and 62 having a first and second brushes 610 and 620 respectively are arranged on respective treads 11a and 11b. An escalator is loweredly operated to bruch the treads 11a and 11b by brushes 610 and 620 pressed by a pressing means 65, and soil such as floating dust is sucked by a domestic cleaner, etc. This lowering operation is stopped to remove a thumbscrew 68, a linking body 67, the pressing means 65, and the cleaning body 61, are removed and one end and another sides of a mop 100 are arranged on a barlike member 66 and the tread 11b respectively, to fit the cleaning body 61 to place the brush 610 onto the mop 100, after that, the lowering operation is resumed to wipe up the treads 11a and 11b.

SOLUTION: This brush structure 61 comprises bristle portions 610a each having a plurality of bristles bundled into a rod shape, a brush socket 612 in which recesses 610B each having both side faces and a bottom face are formed in the positions where the bristle portions 610a are arranged, and rod- shaped bodies 611 of circular cross section which are secured to the brush socket 612 by screws 611a and which, together with the recesses 610B, clamp the bristle portions 610a, the rod-shaped bodies 611 being positioned between brushes 610 whose bristle portions 610a are arranged at equal intervals to one another in such a way as to abut at least either the side faces or bottom faces of the recesses 610B. Thus, the brushes 610 are set in place or removed by loosening the screws 611a and longitudinally sliding the bristle portions 610a between the recesses 610B and the rod-shaped bodies 611 for insertion or removal.
