摘要： PURPOSE: To make use of a silk material having been discarded so far as a coating material for the outer skin of human bodies or a filter medium excellent in adsorptive removal of impurities and needless materials, by carbonizing the silk material in an inert atmosphere. CONSTITUTION: A silk material such as subordinate silk yarn produced from wild and raised silkworm (e.g. rejected cocoons, waste silk yarn generated during yarn manufacturing process or weaving process), cocoons freed from pupae, cut cocoons freed from pupae, floss silk as a processed product from raised silkworm, silk noil, laps, silvers, or silk fabrics or cut waste thereof, is carbonized in an inert atmosphere at 600-1200 deg.C. The product is (A) made into ultrafine particles of 3-90μm diameter to use as a coating material for the outer skin of human bodies such as a medicine or quasi-drug for human outer skin or cosmetic, or (B) used as a filter medium either directly or in the form of granules.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain the subject mixed nonwoven fabric more easily and stably (including product performance), at lower cost, in larger quantities, while making the best use of the characteristics of cottonlike chitin fibers and silk fibers. CONSTITUTION:Subordinate silk yarns (waste silk yarns from cocoons sorted off, rubbish produced in silk yarn manufacturing process, rubbish produced in silk yarn weaving process) are scoured to a half to 70% degree into floss silk, which is cut into short or medium fibers (or, various kinds of floss silk may be cut into such fibers). The fibers are subjected to alkali scouring or high-pressure scouring process followed by post-treatment such as neutralization and/or washing, and the resultant fibers are opened into finished silk fibers. A highly transparent chitin solution prepared by purification of chitin extracted from a crustacean is subjected to wet spinning followed by cutting into short or medium fibers (cottonlike chitin fibers). Next, the finished silk fibers and cottonlike chitin fibers are mutually homogeneously blended at the weight ratio of (10:90) to (90:10) to form a web as the objective mixed nonwoven fabric.
