    • PURPOSE: To reduce a working cost, by obtaining an optimum secondary air circulating pattern changing with respect to every working specification simply and conveniently, through controlling a secondary air regulating valve, so that a difference between measured values of inner face temperature sensors set at an upper and a lower sections of an inner face of refractory material. CONSTITUTION: A circulating air pattern 40 wherein a refractory temperature in a vessel is indicated, as a circulating air quantity to be uniform at an upper direction and a lower direction against a certain fuel supply quantity, is set, and based on this, a regulating valve 34 of circulating air is controlled by an air quantity indication regulator 38. Here, a temperature indication regulator 41 wherein the regulating valve 34 is controlled so that a difference between measured values of inner sensors 9U, 9L set at upper and lower sections on a refractory material inner face, and the circulating air pattern 40 is set, by heating the inside of the vessel 1 during a control of the regulating valve 34 through the temperature indication regulator 41, with respect to the vessel 1 of a specified work specification.

    • PURPOSE:To repair the inside of a blast furnace with a simple operation by utilizing a nozzle which swivels horizontally around the furnace core and can be vertically moved in the furnace by cords from the furnace outside to gun refractories in the stage of repairing the damaged part of the inside wall of the furnace with monolithic refractories. CONSTITUTION:A supporting frame 2 attached with the nozzle 1 is made swivelable in a horizontal direction around the furnace core and is tilted in the direction of an arrow (b) by means of a tilting cylinder 5 around a fulcrum 4 in the stage of repairing the damaged part of the refractory material on the inside wall of the blast furnace 6 by the monolithic refractories gunned from the nozzle. In addition, the above-mentioned frame is made vertically movable in the direction (c) in the furnace by means of lifting wires 10 via winches 9 and sheaves 8. The powder refractories are supplied together with water to the nozzle 1 by a press feed hose 16 and the nozzle is correctly directed to the damaged point by vertical movement, horizontal swiveling and tilting and the monolithic refractories are gunned therefrom. The inside wall of the furnace is thus quickly repaired by the simple operation.

    • PURPOSE: To reduce the use of the unshaped refractory between major repairs by reducing the thickness of a permanent brick in the range where the molten steel is brought into contact when it is received, and increasing the thickness of the unshaped refractory lining at the part. CONSTITUTION: In the unshaped refractory lining of a molten steel ladle bed part, the thickness of the range where the molten steel is brought into contact when the molten steel is received, i.e., the thickness of the permanent brick 4 of the molten steel striking part 1 is smaller than that of a peripheral part 2. The thickness of the unshaped refractory lining 3 other than the molten steel striking part 1 is increased by the amount of the reduced thickness of the permanent brick 4. The thickness of the unshaped refractory lining 3 other than the molten steel striking part 1 is of the minimum value capable of withstanding the use between major repairs. During the intermediate repair, the extra material of the lining 3 of the molten steel striking part 1 is added, and tuyere bricks 6 are replaced. The amount of the unshaped refractory lining 3 to be used between major repairs can be reduced by about 20% compared with the conventional value.
