摘要： PURPOSE:To easily and efficiently remove an iron ion and/or a manganese ion by bringing carbonate mineral into contact with a liquid. CONSTITUTION:Carbonate mineral such as porous coral having a multilayer structure is substance capable of selectively adsorbing the impurities, especially, the iron ion and/or manganese ion in a liquid. By merely bringing the liquid into contact with carbonate mineral, the iron ion and/or the manganese ion can be efficiently and selectively removed. By performing the contact with the carbonate mineral under an aerobic condition, the iron ion and/or the manganese ion can be easily removed even from a liquid high in carbon dioxide concn.

摘要： PURPOSE:To efficiently and selectively remove heavy metals by merely performing contact treatment by adsorbing heavy metals by bringing carbonate mineral into contact with the exudate of industrial waste or raw garbage containing heavy metals under an aerobic condition. CONSTITUTION:Carbonate mineral such as calcite, aragonite, baddeleyite, amorphous calcium carbonate or dolomite is brought into contact with the exudate of industrial waste or raw garbage containing heavy metals under an aerobic condition. By this method, heavy metals such as Hg, Cd, Cd, Fe, Pb or the like are adsorbed by the carbonate mineral. As the aforementioned aerobic condition, a CO2 concn. of 30ppm or less is pref. and 1ppm is more pref. and 3ppm or more is especially pref. When the exudate is brought into contact with the carbonate mineral, the aerobic condition is pref. held by performing aeration in a water diffusion bed or fixed bed.

When the amt. reaches a specified level, a filter bed 6A is placed on the waste 5, the periphery of the filter bed 6A is allowed to communicate with the filter bed 3A, the process is repeated, and the waste is discarded. The sewage oozing out from the waste and contg. heavy metals is successively passed through the coral members 7 of the upper filter bed 6A and bottom filter bed 3A, collected at the bottom of the damping site, and discharged from a water collecting pipe 4. Since the coral material 7 is covered with a screen material 8, the deterioration of the water permeability is prevented.

摘要： PURPOSE:To break a fastening member in ground subsidence, etc., to protect a vent pipe, and to maintain the water permeability for a long period by forming the vent pipe to be provided between the waste bed and a filter bed with plural unit pipes joined by the fastening member and having large and small diameters. CONSTITUTION:The sewage oozing out from the respective beds of waste 5 is discharged into respective filter beds 6, flows downward into the filter bed 3 on the water-barrier sheet 2 extending continuously on the periphery of the filter bed 6, and is discharged to be outside of the ground through a water collecting pipe 4 at the bottom of a damping site. In this case, a part of the sewage flows to an air hole 8 of the vent pipe 7, and then flows out into the filter bed 3. When the ground and waste 5 subside and a peripheral frictional force higher than a specified pressure is exerted on the unit pipe 7a, the fastening member 10 is cut by the shearing force caused by the unit pipes 7a and 7b and released from the frictional force on the pipe periphery. Accordingly, the damage of the vent pipe 7 is effectively prevented, and the water permeability to the filter bed 6 is successively maintained.

As a result, the wire-cylinders can be surely held on the water-barrier sheet on the slope of the dumping site without boring holes in the water-barrier sheet.

The dry density of this treated matter M1 becomes about 1.2t/m to that of about 1.0t/m of the waste refuse incineration residue 1 and increases by about 20%.
