    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for screening innate immunity overactivation inhibitors, whereby overactivated state of innate immunity can be easily induced with high reproducibility, agents for preventing and improving the overactivated state of innate immunity can be screened and pharmacological examination of the agents can be achieved, the innate immunity overactivation inhibitor discovered thereby, and a model animal etc., displaying the overactivated state of innate immunity. SOLUTION: The method for screening the innate immunity overactivation inhibitor screens a test substance using degree of amelioration of symptoms or death of insect larva as an index, provided that the symptoms or death are induced by administration of periodontal disease-causing bacteria and/or killed periodontal disease-causing bacteria and/or a peptidoglycan of periodontal disease-causing bacteria.
