摘要： PURPOSE: To reduce the thermal impact to a nuclear reactor constituting element disposed at the bottom to occur when stayed cold water is suddenly replaced with warm water by preventing the stay of cold water at the bottom of a reactor container in a natural circulation type boiling water reactor. CONSTITUTION: A skirt 120 extended from below a control rod guide tube 18 and having an inlet within 25cm from the bottom plate 116 of a reactor container is provided. The skirt specifies the annular channel at the periphery of a control rod driving mechanism housing 112 extended through the plate 116 of the container, and the water at the bottom is sucked into the channel as the recirculated water is guided into the channel via the inlet.

CONSTITUTION: A steam separator 110 and a dryer 112 are joined by a mechanical joining means which enables these apparatuses to move relatively in the vertical direction. The joining means is, for example, installed in the steam separator and joined to the dryer and comprises a lift rod 268 provided with stoppers 276, 278 to limit the relative movement range in the vertical direction of the dryer. The steam separator is fixed in a chimney 106 by bolts 252 and the dryer is supported by a supporting block 266, so that the optimum gap 142 is kept between the dryer and the steam separator.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control rod blade in which a stress being applied thereto can be reduced at the time of scram with no effect on the stop margin of reactor. SOLUTION: A control rod blade 10 having reduced weight is provided by reducing the length of a selected poison tube constituting the blade part of each control rod blade. Bottom parts of predetermined number of poison tubes 12b-12d on the outermost side in the radial direction are removed without having critical effect on the cooling/warming stop margin. The outermost side poison tube in the radial direction, provided at each blade part, can be removed such that it extends upward by a distance not longer than 40% of height at a neutron absorbing blade part 28 starting from the bottom edge thereof.

摘要： PURPOSE: To facilitate removal of a control rod from a reactor furthermore by uncoupling the control rod from a control rod drive section through turning and then lifting the control rod from the reactor. CONSTITUTION: The core control assembly 22A comprises a control rod drive section 66A which can insert a control rod 60A sufficiently upward into a core 20 such that the control rod 60A can pass through a fuel supporting section 62A. The supporting section 62A has an opening matching the star cross-section of the control rod 60A. The control rod 60A can not be turned when it is extended into the supporting section 62A but can be turned to be disengaged or removed after passing through the supporting section 62A. When the control rod 60A is removed, the top head 24 of a vessel 12 is removed and then other components, e.g. a steam separator 16 and a dryer 14, are removed followed by removal of fuel bundles 35, 36. Finally, the control rod 60A is inserted up to a disengaging position and turned to be decoupled from the drive section 66A and then lifted up from the vessel 12.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the gap between tubes by providing separating means for maintaining the gaps between both elements of tubes when fitting the tube element on the inside of extendable/shrinkable mast into the outside tube element, and means for damping the shock caused at the time of dropping of the inside tube element. SOLUTION: Mast elements 6f, 6g are respectively cylindrical tubes having the section resembling to a rectangular shape with round corners, and they are assembled in a telescopic style. A spacer assembly 28 is set on a top of the element 6g, the part between the two 6f, 6g is extended downward. A spacer assembly 30 is set on a bottom of the element 6f and the part between the two 6f, 6g is extended upward. The assembly pair 28, 30 serve as tube guides, and further as dampers and stoppers after the element 6g strikes and drops and before the downward displacement of the element 6g with respect to the element 6f generates. In this way at the time of longitudinal displacement of the elements 6g, 6f a specified gap can be maintained therebetween.

The latch 38 turns on a turning support part 44, and the latch hook 42 is selectively engaged and disengaged with and from the support flange 30 to fix and remove the head 32 to and from the shroud 16.

The control rods are selectively upwardly drawn out of the reactor by the control rod driver 46 and also downwardly inserted into the core thereby. The control rod driver can release control rods selectively to insert them into the reactor under gravity.
