Additionally, an analysis data generating part 132 of the echo signal analyzing section 13 calculates the variation coefficient (CV) of the attention area from the calculated average value and standard deviation of the amplitude values. The analysis data generating part 132 generates the analysis data for the cartilage on the basis of the calculated variation coefficient (CV).

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an ultrasonic bone analyzing device for providing analysis data for quantitatively evaluating a correct state of a cartilage without the need of a surgical operation.
      SOLUTION: A transmission module 1 and a transducer 2 transmit a pulse burst signal with a frequency which is set appropriately from a skin surface toward a cartilage direction of the cartilage inside a knee of a person. An echo receiving module 3 generates echo data where individual echo data is lined along the time axis, that is to say, the depth direction from the echo signal obtained by the transducer 2. An echo data analysis module 4 divides each individual echo data composing the echo data into a plurality of areas including at least a cartilage surface area and a cartilage inside area. The echo data analysis module 4 computes the relative ratio of individual echo data of the cartilage surface area and individual echo data of the cartilage inside area, and the relative ratio data is calculated and output as an analysis data with the echo data to a display module 5.
