    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for euthanatizing animals subjected to killing in animal tending centers, health centers, or the like, through eliminating their pain.
      SOLUTION: The system M1 for euthanatizing animals has the following construction: A nitrous oxide feeder 2 is joined via a feed channel 3 to a disposal chamber 1. The feed channel 3 is provided with a nitrous oxide chamber 4, a mixer 5 and valves 6 and 7. An oxygen feeder 8 is joined via a feed channel 9 to the feed channel 3. The feed channel 9 is provided with an oxygen chamber 10 and valves 11 and 12. A nitrous oxide concentration control unit 13 and an oxygen concentration control unit 14 are joined to the disposal chamber 1 and the concentrations of the respective gases in the disposal chamber 1 can be controlled by feedback to the respective valves 7 and 12. An exhaust channel 15 is joined to the disposal chamber 1, and a recovery channel 16 is provided in between the exhaust channel 15 and the feed channel 3 and is equipped with a blower 17 and a nitrous oxide recovery unit 18.
