摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a loosening preventing screw that is fastened strongly to an internal thread when being driven to permit a biting-into amount of the screw to be enlarged and thereby can increase frictional force between the screw and the internal thread to enable an excellent loosening preventing effect to be exerted over a long period of time.
SOLUTION: The loosening preventing screw comprises a head and a shaft. A thread ridge collapsed portion which is made by collapsing part of the thread ridge is formed on at least one of the thread ridges formed on the shaft. A width of the thread ridge at the thread ridge collapsed portion is wider than that of the thread ridge noncollapsed portions at the same heights of the thread ridges and further is abruptly narrowed after being gradually widened along a rotational direction of the screw.
