Then an operation is carried out by an operator 10 at the reception side for reproduction of the picture data transmitted through a narrow band so as to obtain the picture data that can be displayed on an ordinary display device. This picture data is stored in a buffer 11 at the reception side and then to a display device 13 after D/A conversion 12.
