    • PURPOSE:To improve the profitability of an exchange by connecting a 2-wire line channel to a prescribed 2-terminal in 4 terminals accommodating each line of a 4-wire channel network to attain the connection between the 2-wire lines via the 4-wire channel network. CONSTITUTION:An incoming trunk ICT3 connects the 2-wire channel of the 2-wire incoming line L2i to be accommodated to two terminals a, b of the 4-wire channel network NW without being converted into the 4-wire channel. An outgoing trunk OGT3 connects the 2-wire channel of the 2-wire outgoing line L2o to be accommodated to two terminals d, e of the channel network NW without being converted into the 4-wire channel. Thus, the lines L2i and L2o are possible for two-wire connection by the 2-wire channel in the 4-wire channel set in the channel network NW. As a result, so long as the lines L2i and L1o or the lines L2o and L1i are not connected,it is not required to provide a 2-wire/4-wire converting circuit to the trunks ICT3 and OGT3.
