    • PURPOSE:To decrease the interruption frequency to channels or a channel adaptor by using a data chain system in place of a conventional command chain system. CONSTITUTION:A telegram (a), for example, is transferred to a host buffer 11 and therefore the transfer of a telegram (b), for example, is needed to a host buffer 12. However an idle area of length beta is produced at the buffer 11 since the telegram (a) as longer than the buffer 11. Thus the telegram (b) is transferred after the telegram (a) from an NCP buffer and a certain head part of the telegram (b) is stored to the idle area of length beta of the buffer 11. Then the rest part of the telegram (b) is stored to the buffer 12. Thus the separation is impossible between both telegrams (a) and (b). Here the idel area produced at the host buffers for each of the telegrams divided logically are calculated previously at the side of a communication controller. Then the proper dummy data are filled between the calculated idle areas and the head telegram part on the NCP buffer and then transferred to the host buffer fro the NCP buffer in the form of a long continuous piece of data.
