摘要： PURPOSE:To improve mechanical impact resistance by constituting an adhesive layer for crimping two sheets of substrates of a silicone resin having a dimethyl polysiloxane structure. CONSTITUTION:The glass substrates 1 are used and the silicone resin is applied thereon by screen printing to form an adhesive layer 7. The silicone resin is a one-pack type rubber-like resin having the dimethyl polysiloxane structure. After this resin is screen-printed, two sheets of the substrates 1 are stuck to each other with silica balls of 1.6 mum average grain size as spacers 4. About 8 kg load is applied on the substrates and the substrates are heated for one hour at 130 deg.C. After the cell is cooled to room temp., a ferroelectric liquid crystal compsn. essentially consisting of an ester liquid crystal compd. is sealed therein by utilizing a pressure difference. The mechanical impact resistance is improved in this way.

Next, the OHP 20 is operated, light 22 is projected by a reflecting plate 21 and the information on the panel 4 is enlarged and projected on the prescribed screen of the OHP 20. Thus, the necessary information is enlarged and displayed on the screen and many people can recognize, discuss and judge the necessary information.

CONSTITUTION:Aq. polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) soln. is applied to a substrate of a liquid crystal panel after filtering the soln. at a temp. lower than the temp. of the coating environment. The above described filtration of the PVA soln. before coating can be executed at an optional lower temp. than the coating environment without requiring any particular condition concerning the filtration temp., but the filtration is preferably executed generally at about 5-20 deg.C. Particularly, it is recommended that the filtration is executed while maintaining the temp. at low temp. by holding the PVA soln. in a refrigerator. Since, a uniform film of PVA or its copolymer can be formed by this method, unevenness of display in a liquid crystal element is reduced.
