The plane mirror 5 is fitted to the belt 3 at, for example, 45 deg. inclination and the laser light beam 1 which is incident on the plane mirror 5 is scanned at right angles to the belt moving direction to obtain the slit light 6. The slit light 6, therefore, has no sectorial divergency unlike a polygon mirror, so the illuminance of the slit light is distributed uniformly. Consequently, when the turbulence structure of liquid or gas is analyzed, the irregularity of the illuminance distribution need not be corrected and the analytic accuracy is improved greatly.
