    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein portions of the sheath between optical fiber single cord lines are remained as projectin sections and the optical fiber single cord lines are not easily taken out when the optical fiber single cord lines are taken out from an optical fiber cable, which stores a plurality of optical fiber single cord lines, requiring the sheath of the optical fiber cable is cut into two parts.
      SOLUTION: An assembled body is arranged in the sheath so that the angle between the center line of the assembled body in which the plurality of optical fiber single cord lines are assembled in and the center line of the sheath may not become zero (i.e., the center lines are not made parallel). Consequently, when the sheath is cut into two parts, cracks, which are made at two places and extended from the sheath surface to the cord line assembled body, respectively run in the directions toward separate optical fiber single cord lines. Thus, the projected section remains only at one place on the both sides of the sheath that is split into two parts and the optical fiber single cord lines are easily taken out.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a coated optical fiber cannot be taken out easily, when a notch or a cut is not formed, in the outer coating layer for constituting an optical fiber cable body containing a tension member of a drop optical cable. SOLUTION: A pair of acting pieces are disposed so as to be freely openable to each other. A recessed groove is formed on at least one of the acting pieces. When the pair of action pieces are closed to each other, a through hole is formed between the pair of acting pieces, and a ripping blade is disposed on at least one of the acting pieces positioned in the through hole. By passing the optical fiber cable body, containing the tension member of the drop optical cable through the through hole, the ripping blade forms a ripped groove in the coating layer of the optical fiber cable body.
