    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an inkjet recording medium which has a successful planar shape and excellent ozone resistance, and can inhibit the feathering (feathering with time) of a recorded image and maintain high image density.
      SOLUTION: This method is to laminate at least a first coating fluid containing an inorganic microparticle and a nitrogen-containing organic cation polymer and a second coating liquid containing an inorganic microparticle and a water-soluble aluminum compound, on a support in that order from the support side. Consequently, an ink receptive layer is formed which features the more content of the nitrogen-containing organic cation polymer and the low content of the water-soluble aluminum compound in the lamina close to the support, compared with the lamina far from the support. In order to achieve this ink receptive layer formation, the method involves the process to apply at least, the first coating liquid and the second coating liquid in a laminar fashion at application temperatures of 35 to 45°C.
