    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film excellent in durability and capable of reducing permeation and desorption of moisture.SOLUTION: The optical film comprises a cellulose ester and an acrylic resin, in which a mass ratio of the cellulose ester to the acrylic resin ranges from 70:30 to 5:95. The optical film has a moisture permeability of 350 g/m/day or less (calculated for a thickness of 40 μm), and contains a moisture permeability reducing compound having a molecular weight of 200 or more and satisfying an expression (1):A/B≤0.6. In the expression, A represents a moisture permeability of an optical film when the moisture permeability reducing compound is added by 10 mass% with respect to the total mass of the cellulose ester and the acrylic resin; and B represents a moisture permeability of an optical film comprising the cellulose ester and the acrylic resin without addition of the moisture permeability reducing compound. The moisture permeability is a value obtained after the film is left in an atmosphere of 40°C and 90% relative humidity for 24 hours in accordance with the procedure of JIS Z-0208, and calculated for a film thickness of 40 μm.
