    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a photofixing time.
      SOLUTION: A UV-lamp 23 performs photofixing by irradiating a recording sheet 3 with UV-rays. The UV-lamp 23 comprises a pair of a base 32 and a glass tube 31. The glass tube 31 is shaped by bending a rod-like tube having circular cross-section a plurality of times in order to enlarge the facing area A1 of the glass tube 31 and the recording sheet 3. Consequently, the recording sheet 3 can be irradiated with a large quantity of UV-rays at a high intensity. Linear part 31a of the glass tube 31 is arranged along the widthwise direction of the recording sheet 3.

SOLUTION: A thermal printer 2 comprises a thermal head 6 for recording on a thermal recording material 3, and yellow and magenta photofixing units 9 and 10 performing photofixing after thermal recording. The thermal recording material 3 is a recording material for OHP where thermal coloring layers of yellow, magenta and cyan are formed on a transparent support. The yellow photofixing unit 9 comprises two UV lamps 23a and 23b for Y. One of the lamps 23a and 23b is disposed oppositely to the recording face of the thermal recording material 3 and the other is disposed oppositely to the rear surface. At the time of photofixing, respective lamps 23a and 23b are lighted and the thermal recording material 3 is irradiated with UV-rays on the opposite sides. Similarly to the case of the yellow photofixing unit 9, the thermal recording material 3 is irradiated with UV-rays on the opposite sides by means of two UV lamps 26a and 26b for M in the magenta photofixing unit 10.

      SOLUTION: A thermal printer 2 comprises a thermal head 6 for performing thermal recording on a color thermal recording paper 3 and an optical fixing device 5 for executing optical fixing after the thermal recording. A heater 31 is provided between the thermal head 6 and the optical fixing device 5. The heater 31 heats the color thermal recording paper 3 at 35°C-70°C in order to accelerate the coloring reaction after the thermal recording. As a result, insufficient fixing dies not occur even when a conveying speed of the color thermal recording paper 3 is raised in order to shorten the time period for the printing.
