    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interlock device for a reversible electromagnetic contactor, which is improved so that the interlock device is constructed with fewer components and fewer manhours, compared with an interlock device of a conventional structure.
      SOLUTION: The interlock device applying to the reversible electromagnetic contactor is configured as an assembly that includes: a unit case composed of split cases 5a and 5b having hooks 5e formed integrally thereon to hook on the frame of the electromagnetic contactor; a locking piece 5c (of an almost oval shape with both end corners rounded by taper cutting) which is supported to slide to the left/right through the unit case; and a return spring 5d (filament spring) which urges the locking piece 5c to hold it in a neutral position in a free state. When the interlock device in an assembled state is interposed between the electromagnetic contactors placed side by side on the left and right, both ends of the locking piece 5c projecting laterally out of the unit case are fitted loosely into slots formed on side faces of one movable contact shoe holder of the electromagnetic contactors. When one of the electromagnetic contactors is brought into charging operation, the locking piece 5c following the charging operation to slide is pushed into the slot formed on the other movable contact shoe holder of the electromagnetic contactors to block the charging operation of the electromagnetic contactor.
