    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and light weight print head having low power consumption suitable for full color indication. SOLUTION: Positive poles 3 in a direction parallel to a sub-scanning direction are arranged in a staggered fashion on a substrate in a main scanning direction. An organic layer including light emitting layers 4 (R, G, B) are formed on the positive poles 3. Negative poles parallel to the main scanning direction are provided on the organic layer by being intersected with the positive poles 3. The light emitting layers 4 in the respective intersections of the positive poles with negative poles are partitioned in dot shapes by opening sections of an insulation layer, respectively. The light emitting dots of each color of R, G, B are arranged in a staggered fashion in the main scanning direction. The negative poles 9 are scanned sequentially, then image signals of each of the colors are inputted to the positive poles in synchronism with the scanning and a head and a recording medium are relatively moved in synchronism therewith. The identical position on the recording medium is multiply exposed by dot lights of each of colors of R, G, B. A highly accurate full-color effect by virtue of the staggered fashion of the three color light emitting dots and an effect by the organic EL having reduced luminance variation lower than that of a fluorescent display tube generate a synergistic effect, then a high quality full color image is formed by only moving the head at once.

    • PURPOSE:To enlarge a display area to a plane dimension seen from a display direction, by attaching a part of a side plate through a sealing material on a side plane part in the thickness direction of a substrate or the flat plate so that non-heating parts, in which display patterns can not be formed, are decreased. CONSTITUTION:At least a part of a side plate 29 is mounted through a sealing material 27 on a side plane part in the thickness direction of a substrate 21 or a flat plate 28. Therefore, because the side plane part of the substrate 21 or the flat plate 28 becomes a sealing part, only side plane part is allowed to be coated with the sealing material 27. Even without extra positions coated with the sealing material 27, air-tightness becomes fully reliable. Therefore, thickness of the side plates 29 can be made thin as long as strength is permitted, not requiring unnecessary coating of the sealing material 27. Thus, a non- luminous part l3, in which a display pattern of the anode or the like can not be formed, can be reduced. A display area of the fluorescent luminous tube to a plane dimension seen from the display direction can be enlarged.
