Then the inserting and removing bar 8 is raised up or brought down in the longitudinal direction of the long hole 61A with the long hole 61A as a guide. A printed board 3 performs horizontal movement in the inserting direction or in the removing direction by the operation of the inserting and removing bar 8. Thus, a printed board connector 31 is plugged into a connector 4 or unplugged. At this time, the inserting and removing bar 8 acts as a lever. Therefore, force for insertion and removal can be less. Namely, the insertion and removal of the printed board 3 is easy. Thus the miniaturization of a cabinet 1 is promoted, and the weight becomes light.

Then, the character generator rewriteable memorizing the character pattern depecding on fields read out from the memory unit HCPU etc. and the character code by fields read out from the memory units, are stored in the code buffer CB. The control section CNT is provided and display is made by using the buffer CB and the generator CG, and also, the character code is fed to the display unit CRT which delivers the code to computer etc. Thus, the selection can be made easily with a small sized character board and the correspondence to each field can be simplified.

      SOLUTION: Map data are preliminarily cut into meshes. Which mesh partition includes the location of a facility on a map is checked, and the location information of the facility is stored by using a character string where the partition of the mesh with any facility is "1", and the mesh partition with no facility is "0". When the latitude/longitude information of the current location and the retrieval conditions of the nearest facility are input from a user, a retrieval range with the current location as a center is expressed with the character string constituted of "0" and "1" based on the location of the mesh partition on the mesh-shaped map. Then, the logical product of the character string expressing the location of the facility and the character string expressing the retrieval range is calculated so that information showing whether or not there is any facility in the retrieval range can be acquired.
